The Credit Risk Management Team is part of the Private Bank Credit Operations group. This team monitors JPM Private Bank exposures (including loans, mortgages & derivatives) secured by financial assets, such as equities, fixed income products and other asset types. The functions performed by this team are critical to protecting the bank from potential credit losses.

Working closely with Lending Solutions, the team is also responsible for a wide range of functions such as administration and monitoring of PB Asia credit facilities in line with corporate credit policy, review & monitoring of credit covenants, transaction approval and other special monitoring requirements as well as regulatory reporting.

Job Responsibilities

• Works closely with various Digital Document Services (DDS) backend refiling business stakeholders (Cash Operation) to support APAC Record Retention & Destruction Program.
• Partner with LOB data Owners to identify DDS inventory list and retrieve handover form as per request.
• Review/dispose of documents which have expired past the retention period and due for destruction.
• Undertake Docvault entry governed by DDS evergreen model.
• Perform reconciliation activities with stakeholders and produce internal MIS reports for regular update.
• Liaise with vendors to offsite documents post internal joint review with sign off form/retraction form.
• Establish/update Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) which include control measures and ensure the SOPs are in strict compliance with internal policies as well as governing rules.
• Adhere to all control standards including local regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a middle office or control function within a financial institution.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint, Sharepoint and Word. Knowledge of automation tools such as Alteryx, Xceptor, and Visio is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to independently drive discussions with stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving team environment.
• Transformational Skills: Strong solution-based problem-solving abilities and data analytical skills. Demonstrates critical thinking and attention to detail. Strong project coordination skill to achieve predefined targeted timeline.
• Relevant Experience: Experience in a credit middle office or control function, or other relevant experience in private banking, is a plus.
• Financial Markets Interest: Demonstrated interest in financial markets and an understanding of risk measures.

About This Role:

You will support and work hand in hand with the Financial Planning and Analysis team for the Southeast Asia region under the guidance of the Commercial controller. The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization plays an important role as trusted business partners to businesses, supporting all analysis, reporting, and business planning needs. The team produce budgets, forecasts; create and analyze business metrics and identify cost savings opportunities; deliver economic insight into the relationships between costs and revenues to improve the financial success of the business going forward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in handling day to day deliverables, weekly sales landing, monthly analysis & periodic forecasts exercises
• Assist in downloading, collecting, compiling, verifying information to provide controller with accurate and timely information for decision-making.
• Work with Client’s Business Services team to ensure accurate month end closing and follow up on clarifications.
• Drive & manage Capital expenditure (CapEx) reporting processes as well as collaborate with relevant teams for APAC CapEx projects.
• Any other ad hoc duties as required by APAC commercial controlling team

Requirement:

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or related fields
• Proficient in the use of MS Excel (Vlookup, Pivot) and MS Power-point.
• Understanding of management accounting with strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet).
• A self-starter, curious, forward thinking and innovative.
• Possess strong, logical, and analytical thinking skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Hands-on team player who possesses a can-do attitude and is able to handle ambiguity.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels and build good working relationships.
