Role summary:

This new 2nd Line of Defence Group Risk role will cover all aspects of Operational, Financial and Strategic risk, and have exposure to all areas of the Group.
The team in Data and Analytics (D&A), FTSE Russell, Risk Intelligence, Operations and Sales (SAM), within Group Risk, provides risk advice and oversight to the business, and supports the reporting and analysis of the risk profile.
Based in Singapore, the role sits within the Group Risk business coverage team and reports to the Head of Risk for Data & Analytics in London. The key role of the team is to support the CRO in ensuring visibility of risks impacting business outcomes (e.g. commercial, technology, operations and transformation) and co-ordinates the reporting and analysis of the risk profile. It supports our business in delivery of their strategy and driving an effective risk and controls agenda.
What you'll be doing:
- Embedding the Enterprise Risk Management Framework across our APAC businesses and operations and driving consistency across 2LOD risk coverage.
- Maintaining oversight of risks across Data and Analytics (D&A), FTSE Russell, Risk Intelligence, Operations, and Sales (SAM) organisations in APAC.
- Supporting the Head of Risk for Operations and APAC by providing regional leadership capabilities to the Group Risk function across the APAC region; including facing-off to local management and support partners across the Group.
- Providing independent review of risks associated with business strategy, new products and major projects and partnerships.
- Delivering effective analytical and data-driven risk reporting for the CRO, with a keen focus on measuring positive outcomes and driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with the first line to deliver and maintain a strong risk profile, ensuring risk remediation actions are identified to address control vulnerabilities.
- Maintaining positive relationships across all three lines of defence so that the risk framework has full endorsement from leadership and appropriately addresses their risk management needs.
- Conducting risk reviews, providing balanced advice and identifying and reporting risks appropriately.
- Key to the success of this role will be collaboration across the business, risk functions, and partners in engineering and operations.
What you'll bring:
- Experience in enterprise, operational or non-financial risk management at a senior level.
- A knowledge of technology, data, cloud architecture, or transformation programs would be advantageous.
- Experience in commercial, operations, technology or financial services.
- Experience in reporting for senior governance forums, with familiarity of risk governance activity to support ongoing improvements.
- Credibility, expertise and gravitas to partner and influence at senior management level or above, providing active challenge.
- Ability to take initiative and drive projects to completion, balancing priorities to deliver positive outcomes.
- Strategic problem solving skills with a passion for innovation, driving high quality and efficiency.
- Experience working independently and as part of a team, able to engage across teams and be keen to collaborate across the Group.
- Previous experience in addition to above of working in or alongside Compliance, Audit or Governance roles would be beneficial.
