Royal Ocean Marine is a leading headhunting /recruitment agencies company in the maritime industry. We are currently seeking an Assistant Group Tax Manager to join our client's team. As the Assistant Group Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with international tax regulations and optimizing the group's transfer pricing policies and practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of transfer pricing strategies and policies across the company.
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing transfer pricing agreements, identifying areas for improvement and proposing necessary adjustments to maintain compliance and optimize tax efficiency.
- Work closely with various departments within the organization, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure accurate and timely transfer pricing documentation.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors to manage transfer pricing audits and resolve any tax-related disputes or issues.
- Stay updated on changes in international tax regulations and transfer pricing guidelines, providing proactive advice and recommendations to ensure the group's compliance.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of relevant reports and documentation required by tax authorities.
- Support the Group Tax Manager in ad hoc tax-related projects and initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., CA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transfer pricing or tax advisory, preferably within the maritime or shipping industry.
- Strong knowledge of international tax regulations and transfer pricing principles.
- Proficient in using tax software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
