Job Responsibilities:

• Draft and execute test cases to verify and validate in-house printer products not limited to firmware, printer drivers, web, desk and mobile applications.
• Analyze incidents and conduct investigations to troubleshoot issues surfaced.
• Document and file bugs into incident management system in accordance with standards established by Quality Control (QC) Manager.
• Prepare comprehensive test and incident reports for every testing cycle.
• Identify any gaps in processes and propose improvements to enhance testing and software development practices.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Computer Engineering/Software Engineering/ Computer Science.
• ISTQB Certified Tester or equivalent is preferred but not a must.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in software or firmware development is highly preferred. Candidates with no prior experience but are keen in firmware or software development are also welcome to apply.
• Candidates with knowledge or hands-on experience using C or C++ programming language are advantageous but not a must.

Job Responsibilities:

Firmware Development/Customer Support

• Provide support on customers’ reported issues pertaining to the emulation firmware.
• Investigate the requirements of end-users and develop customized firmware according to customers’ requests.
• Support standard firmware modification to upgrade competitors’ emulation firmware to reach a high compatibility level.

Evaluation and Quality control

• Prepare firmware specifications and evaluation documents.
• Evaluate developed firmware as well as engage in discussions with Quality Control department during the evaluation process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Information System or equivalent.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in C++ programming language is essential.
• Candidates with 1-2 years of relevant working experience in Firmware Development are highly preferred.
• Candidates with some knowledge in Printer Firmware are highly advantageous.

Accountabilities and Tasks

Firmware Development/Customer Support

• To support customers’ reported issues pertaining to emulation firmware.

In this new role you will:

• collect, consolidate, and visualize the software solution assets of the SATO group member companies (GMC) to maximize the usage of them to generate more values.
• analyze the available software solution for further business enhancement opportunities including converting custom application to a package solution.
• conduct training for the GMC on custom application and package solution to provide peace of mind for sales representatives to promote and sell them in the market.
• provide technical assistance for GMC which includes requirement gathering assistance, software design support, SATO unique and AIDC related knowledge transfer.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Information Technology / Electronic / Electrical Engineering / Quality Engineering or equivalent.
