About the position
The ASCC Intelligence Supervisor is responsible for assessing risks that could affect business operations, contributing to situational awareness and operational readiness for the Global Security Operations. This role requires a motivated individual capable of working under pressure in a high-performance environment that is fast-paced and dynamic. Reporting to the ASCC Manager, you will work in a team and collaborate with the APAC Security management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all functions of the APAC Security Control Center are carried out in an efficient and effective manner whilst providing maximum security support.
- Tracking and analyzing emerging regional threats, contextualizing those threats specific to company assets and personnel, and producing intelligence analysis to inform company stakeholders.
- Providing high level risk assessments, situational updates, and intel support to the Regional Security team.
- Actively threat hunt for risk events that may adversely impact the Company’s people, assets and reputation at the tactical level – with particular emphasis on indicators and warnings requiring a physical security response.
- They will remain abreast of threat developments across the region, on a daily basis, and use that knowledge to proactively identify areas of concern to the client, giving advance warning to facilitate decision-making.
- Working with internal and external intelligence partners on information collection, analysis, and best practice benchmarking.
- Serving as a subject matter expert in geopolitical risk across the Asia Pacific region, including but not limited to geopolitical and reputational risk, terrorism, social and political activism, political stability, crime/fraud, economic uncertainty, cultural trends, and cyber security as they relate to regional business operations.
- Conducting analysis of political, security, operational, and macro-economic risks across APAC.
- Ability to perform well and maintain a high degree of professionalism and service on a routine basis, during emergency situations or under extreme pressure.
- Coordinate the daily development and dissemination of intelligence and operationally based reports to support our Global Security and regional business partners. Producing comprehensive intelligence assessments and updates on rapidly developing situations.
- Communicate effectively relevant analysis to the ASCC and regional intelligence teams.
- Report directly to the ASCC Manager and work in a team of other ASCC Supervisors, Specialists, and a Security Systems Supervisor.
- Support development of policy, procedures and protocols for future ASCC operational and technological integrations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by ASCC Management staff or other APAC Global Security management.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Strategic/Security Studies, Political Science, Business or a related discipline, or any closely related field of study
- 2-3 years’ experience working in intelligence and/or a security operations center
- Effective computer and OSINT skills, including Boolean Search Queries, awareness of MS Office applications.
- Thinking critically and writing quickly, concisely, and persuasively, demonstrating strong oral communication and presentation skills.
- The ability to receive and relay direction, and have ability to multi-task and coordinate several incidents at once
- Strong service/interpersonal skills especially during times of crisis
- Strong interest and familiarity with international current events
- Ability to make critical decisions, prioritize issues and initiate appropriate response with minimal supervision
- Sense of urgency in a 24/7 work environment for quick response to critical developing issues
- A flexible approach to variable working hours is essential
Candidates with the following competencies and personal attributes are preferred:
- Master’s degree in International Relations, Strategic/Security Studies, Political Science, Business or a related discipline, or any closely related field of study. Equivalent work experience is considered.
- Familiarity with Intel tools is strongly preferred.
- Language capability: Vietnamese, Thai, Khmer, Japanese or other regional languages.
