The St.Gallen Institute of Management in Asia (SGI), which is the local institute of the University of St.Gallen in Singapore and serves as its hub in Asia since 2011, is seeking an individual to join our team as an
Programme Assistant (20% position, flexible)
commencing Nov 1st, 2024, or by mutual agreement, this permanent position is based in Singapore.
The institute seeks to foster a wider exchange between Asia and Europe, enabling a deeper mutual understanding of cultures, regions, and economies between Singapore and Switzerland. At the institute, we are international team of 10 professionals, and our office is located in a shophouse on Amoy Street, in the heart of Singapore's Chinatown district. You will join a small, but highly successful and entrepreneurial team to actively shape the long-term development of the SGI in Singapore as well as the university’s profile in Asia.
The position is suited for candidates with a willingness to work with young people and to support their learning journey. We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills and experience in working in international teams.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Strengthen a dedicated team to represent one of the best European Business Schools in Singapore and to further develop the University’s presence in Asia
- Support the institute’s diverse teaching programmes including recruiting participants, organizing of events, handling student matters and being a person of contact
- Develop the institute’s projects and marketing activities incl. social media
Qualification, work experience, and skills
- Diploma or Degree from a recognised Institution of Higher Education
- Preferably at least 2 years of work experience / Work experience in the educational sector is an advantage
- Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Pro-active approach to problem solving and good organizational skills
