Our client is a leading global real estate investment manager with a diversified real estate asset class and a strong Asia presence. They are looking to hire a VP Finance to join their Finance team.
Responsibilities:
Manage the Private Funds portfolio encompassing real estate assets and alternative investments in the APAC region.
Supervise and provide analysis and commentary on the financial performance through monthly and quarterly variance assessments.
Oversee the consolidation and closing processes for monthly accounts.
Evaluate the corporate month-end accounting procedures and review financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Collaborate with fund management and investment teams to provide financial advice, simulate impacts, and conduct tax due diligence for acquisitions and divestments.
Monitor and manage the consolidation of monthly and quarterly management accounts and Group reports.
Lead activities related to Treasury, cash management, statutory financial statements, internal and external audits, and tax and GST filings.
Participate in implementation and changes to procedures, policies, and systems to support business expansion.
Requirements:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in accountancy and/or possess a CA/CPA or equivalent qualification
Over 10 years of relevant accounting experience, expertise in consolidated reporting and statutory reporting is required.
Proven track record in private equity real estate funds, involvingproficiency in distribution Waterfall methodology, NAV calculations, yields, distributions, and other aspects of fund accounting.
Demonstrated organizational skills and a structured approach to tasks.
Ability to work well independently, responsible and accountable.
Meticulous, possess strong interpersonal, communication and time-management skills.
Tech savvy to Excel and prior experience in IBM Cognos Controller and SAP is advantages.
