The Role
The successful candidate will lead the planning and implementation of future-enabled enterprise architecture projects for JRI Singapore, and APAC region including Singapore, aligned to requirements of SMBC, in cooperation with Tokyo Head Office, the current product owner.
He/she will work closely with stakeholders mainly from Japan Head Office, end users, system development depts, company back-office depts, vendors and establish effective and efficient collaboration.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and implement end to end identified future enabling projects through technical/functional/operational design and maintenance of IT Infrastructure according to the Company’s project governance framework.
- Contribute to the development of overall End User Computing Services, Server platform (Dynamics, DevOps, Dev Servers and Windows domain environment), L2/L3 network and WAN.
- Plan for IT security measurement in the office, collaborating with Japan Head Office security department and CCoE (Cloud Center of Excellence).
- Plan and lead IT system implementation projects which involve variety of the IT and non-IT department located in Tokyo and Singapore to enhance the banking IT capability from regional perspective.
- Organize and facilitate project budget/cost related matters with proper understanding of differences between Singapore and Japan accounting policy. (IFRS/SFRS v.s. JGAAP).
- Provide timely escalation and resolution of major issues to Management and Head Office teams.
- Work closely with business depts and other stakeholders to understand business and IT operational requirements, translating them to technical requirements.
- Partner with planning dept to ensure alignment of all company platform’s architecture processes, standards, strategies and roadmap with that of JRI and SMFG Group.
- Collaborate with Japan Head Office to establish internal control in which an entity is managed and governed.
- Prepare and present regular project reports and documentations.
- Prepare and put forward budget plans for identified project initiatives, influencing, and negotiating with Head Office to obtain support for them.
- Ensure project status and progress are communicated to stakeholders and IT teams in a timely and concise manner.
- Work out full-scaled and precise proposal with technical solution team, coordinate and communicate resources and define clear roles with all project resources.
- Assume agreed projects that may be assigned from time to time in tandem with business priorities/requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent with around 5 years of experience in providing IT service to a Financial Institute.
- Knowledge in IT system infrastructure for large number of transaction volumes and/or users.
- VMware certification – Security certifications and CCNA certification are desired for the role.
- ITIL v3 Foundations Certification.
- Microsoft certification – Intune, Microsoft 365 mobility and security, Managing Modern Desktops, Modern Desktop Administrator, MS Azure certification, MCSA/MCSE.
- Proficiency in both English and Japanese is highly preferred as this role needs to prepare reports in Japanese for reporting to Head Office in Japan. This role also needs to present and communicate with stakeholders and counterparts in Tokyo Head Office who mainly communicate in Japanese.
- Experience to handle regional projects which involves stakeholders in Japan.
- Experience in supporting IT End User Service in large organization.
- Proven experience in collaboration and workgroup for project delivery
- Experience in internal control or audit area with a deep understanding of the IT business process and systems.
- Project Management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) or equivalent experiences
- Knowledge of IT service business for bank or FI.
- Comprehensive knowledge of technologies supporting asset management processes.
- In-depth knowledge on MS 365, Group Policy, AD Trusts, AD Sites and Services, DNS, DHCP, and DFS.
- In-depth knowledge on Microsoft Licensing, SCCM, PC/laptop hardware and software delivery.
- Capability to lead and drive the IT BAU related tasks with good time and stakeholder management skills and experience.
- Proactively socialize with stakeholders and maintain good relationship to steer tasks.
- Possess strong and assertive verbal, written communication skills and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
- Good bi-directional and collaborative attitude in order to work as a professional in a team.
- Willing to take an ad-hoc project as necessary.
