History

Panasonic R&D Center Singapore (PRDCSG), formerly known as Panasonic Singapore Laboratories Pte Ltd (PSL), started as an Audio Video Information Research Center (AVIRC) under Asia Matsushita Electric (S) Pte Ltd (AMS), currently known as Panasonic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (PA) in 1990.

In 1996, PSL was separated from AMS and incorporated as an independent research company directly under the corporate R&D arm of Panasonic Corporation, Japan.

In 2012, as part of Panasonic’s development strategy to streamline Panasonic’s current operations in the Asia Pacific region, and also part of Panasonic’s global strategy to accelerate group synergy, strengthen collective power and maximize customer value, PSL was amalgamated into PA and became a new business of PA, Panasonic R&D Center Singapore (PRDCSG). To date, PRDCSG has a headcount of approximately 100 and is a multicultural company of 11 different nationalities.

• Project experience in corporate offices/hospitality
• Knowledge of 3DS Studio Max, Corona Render, Vray, Adobe Premiere, Sketch-Up, AutoCad and Adobe Photoshop.
• Animation walkthroughs and an understanding of workplace design would be a plus.
• Min 3-5 years’ experience.
• Degree/diploma in Architecture or Interior Design.

Duties of Application Engineer:

• Support sales, in-house operations, and customer service with technical expertise.
• Provide pre-sales technical support to sales teams in the Asia Pacific region.
• Assist in benchmark preparation, feasibility studies, and estimation for ongoing sales projects.
• Contribute to various application businesses within the company.
• Operate machines, ensure quality control, and optimize productivity for benchmark parts.
• Utilize AM software to generate CAD models and troubleshoot part quality issues.
• Deliver first-level customer support, focusing on requests and continuous improvement.
• Engage in application projects, constantly improving training content and documenting knowledge, while providing regular report updates and agile support to customers.

Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Materials Science
• 2 years of experience in Metal 3D Printing
