As part of the Executive Management Team, the Corporate Accountant will help to contribute to InfraCo Asia’s mission, which is to catalyse the private sector investments needed to bridge the infrastructure gap in Asia’s emerging markets.

Position Summary

The Corporate Accountant will work closely with the Financial Controls Manager and relevant finance team members on the day-to-day financial matters of InfraCo Asia, with an emphasis on the accounts payable, general ledger and accounts receivable (“AP/GL/AR”) function, financial and management reporting. There will also be involvement in finance project implementation and project costing when required.

The Corporate Accountant will be expected to undertake the responsibilities outlined below for InfraCo Asia independently and thereafter, AP/GL/AR and financial reporting responsibilities for other corporate entities within InfraCo Asia.

Requirements and Attributes

• Relevant credible accounting/finance qualifications (e.g. CPA, CA, LCCI, Degree or Diploma in Accounting).
• At least 5 years of hands-on work experience in accounting/finance roles (2 to 3 years’ experience in a Big Four accounting firm would be advantageous) in a dynamic and fast paced multinational environment with exposure in the Asia region essential;
• Practical experience and knowledge of handling accounting system is required. Experience and knowledge of ERP and/or accounting systems may be advantageous;
• Practical experience in preparing GST filing is preferred;
• Knowledge of Singapore withholding tax requirements is preferred;
• Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards is required;
• Possess a proactive approach towards identifying improvement/advancement opportunities in job roles and responsibilities;
• Experience in infrastructure sector, working with international development institutions and investment funds and/or regional experience in Asia would be advantageous;
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and advanced skills in Excel;
• Good proficiency in both oral and written English. Proficiency in one or more of the regional languages in one of the countries where InfraCo Asia is mandated to work is a plus; and
• Strong appreciation and passion for PIDG and InfraCo Asia’s mandate with a strong work ethic and desire to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment essential.

• Provides accounting support to the various companies in the Group
