Job Scope:

Market Intelligence

• Perform market research to identify areas of interest, iterate on key findings and communicate market insights.
• Evaluate key policy and industry shifts in existing and new business space to identify emerging trends, opportunities, threats and distil relevant implications to the company.
• Analyse competitors’ activities to determine the best strategies for increasing market share or generating new business opportunities.
• Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas and business partnerships.

Business Strategies

• Develop long term business strategies and priorities in pursuing new opportunities in growth areas, new and existing markets.
• Identify areas of capability building to strengthen YRI’s current and future competitive advantages.
• Working with management to develop policies, strategies, and plans to ensure that business objectives are achieved.

Annual Business Planning

• Support Business Group’s annual business planning process

Managing financial reporting for regulated investment funds and investment vehicles domiciled in the Cayman Islands, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, US, Ireland, Luxembourg, UK, and France, you will work with our financial reporting teams to deliver high quality services to meet the exacting standards of our growing client base.

What you will be doing….

• Managing the financial reporting process on behalf of large multi-national clients
• Acting as liaison with various internal and external parties, including auditors, administrators and investment managers
• Reviewing financial statements for investment funds and other financial services entities in accordance with US GAAP and also, IFRS, and other local GAAPs
• Researching technical queries on accounting standards
• Coaching members of the team to ensure highest levels of output to clients
• Responsibility for the professional development of team members
• Due to our expanding global client base, opportunities for international travel may also be available

What will you need….

• ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified with strong technical knowledge of multiple accounting standards
• 7 years + experience in working in financial services fund environment (Top 10 experience a plus)
• Technical expertise, attention to detail and a practical mindset
• Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines to ensure compliance requirements are met
• Capacity to build relationships with and influence colleagues and business partners
• Confident communicator with an ability to provide clear and succinct verbal and written updates
• Advanced strategy, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
• Demonstrable experience of coaching and developing a team
• Ability to take ownership of own professional development
• Legal entitlement to live and work in Singapore
