Job Description:

This is a full role for an Accountant (Consolidated Accounts) located in Ubi Road. Our client is the automotive industry in Singapore. You will take the responsibilities of assisting with the preparation of monthly management reports and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner. You will be responsible for preparing financial and audit analysis schedules, as well as supporting the yearly budget preparation. Additionally, the position requires helping to consolidate accounts, including those of foreign subsidiary companies. Other finance-related tasks may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Degree in Accounting, ACCA or equivalent
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Accounting system
• At least 3 years’ accounting experience including consolidation of group accounts

Job Description

• Full set of accounts for ship chartering business and investment holding companies.
• Review of payments (including staff claims) and direct liaison with logistics department on billing matters, payment processing back-up when accounts assistant is away.
• Prepare journal entries and monthly accounting schedule inclusive fixed asset, prepayments, accruals and other balance sheet schedules.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliation and revaluation, inter-company transaction reconciliation.
• Monthly and quarterly preparation of Group Reporting Pack.
• Prepare quarterly GST returns and workings and GST reporting.
• Assist in year-end audit.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by Finance Manager (i.e. reporting to Singapore Department of Statistics, KYC request from banks, etc.)

Job Requirements

• Possess Degree in Accounting or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in GST reporting is a must.
• Knowledge of SAP Accounting system will be a plus.
• Attention to details, meticulous and ability to multi-task in fast pace environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Assist in implementation of ERP system
• Any other ad-hoc responsibilities assigned by the management, if any
