This advertisement is recruiting for the position of Operations Support Officer.

If successfully selected, you will be seconded to MOE secondary school located in Jalan Bunga Rampai.

Contract Period: From 1 January 2025 – 31 December 2025 (Base Year)

From 1 January 2026 – 31 December 2026 (Option Year)

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

• Mondays to Fridays: 7.00am to 4.00pm, inclusive of half hour lunch break
• There may be a need to be deployed to cover the working hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm or 9.00am to 6.00pm due to exigencies of service, inclusive of half hour lunch break.
• Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays unless it is a special school event.

The service required are set out as follows :

The operations support officer will provide printing support to school staff and assist the School Administration Team to man the reception counter in the school’s general office. The role of the support staff covers the following areas:

• Support basic administrative duties such as PRINTING, photocopying and faxing.
• Greet and welcome visitors
• Answer, screen and forward calls
• Attend to queries. (e.g. provide basic and relevant information) in person or via phone calls
• Handling mail and deliveries
• Attend to students who are sick and those seeking permission to leave school.

The personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• GCE N Level or equivalent (Qualification)
• Must be able to communicate well in English (Skills)
• Preferably be conversant in a second language such as Malay, Mandarin or Tamil (Skills)
• Must be able to use a computer for basic administration work. (Skills)
• Must be able to operate the high speed multifunction printer MFP. (Skills)
• Preferably have one year of work experience in a government school environment (Experience)

The Job

• Helping customers on-site to select suitable storage units, service and/or merchandise
• Process rental / renewal agreements, collect payment and maintain timely and accurate records
• Help customers to resolve requests or issues with their storage
• Check, report and follow-up on any maintenance issues required in the branch you are in-charge of.
• Prepare and submit reports as required
