The laboratory of Immunotherapy in HBV Infection within EID is focused on the study of immune response of Hepatitis B and the liver microenvironment. Recently, the laboratory is actively involved in studying the immune responses in SARS-CoV1, SARS-CoV2 and other emerging viral diseases.

A research assistant position is available, and the successful candidate will be closely involved in the collaboration project work between hospitals/industries and the laboratory. The duties and responsibilities will include the following: -

• Perform tasks and support the team in scientific projects.

Responsibilities

• Basic book-keeping and preparation of financial reports.
• Provide sales & admin support to the sales team.
• Coordinate and liaise with freight forwarders on shipment.
• Work closely with customers & vendors to resolve and achieve customer & vendors satisfaction
• Willing to travel to our overseas subsidiary.

Requirements

• Diploma in Accounting. Preferably with experience in Accounts and Office Admin.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and preferably with MYOB accounting software knowledge.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs day-to-day broad range of HR activities including proper filing of documents
• Assisting with the process of recruitment such as, screening candidates, assist with scheduling interview, and issuing employment contracts
• Handle benefits and claims administration
• Maintain accurate HR database and up-to-date employee records
• Generates and maintain regular HR reports as required
• Handle any other ad-hoc duties as and when required

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provides administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.
• Maintains physical and digital filing systems.
• Answers phone calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel, Responds to emails and other digital queries and correspondence.
• Drafts and edits letters, reports, and other documents.
• Inputs and updates information in databases and spreadsheets.
• Prepares meeting agendas and takes meeting minutes.
• Uses word processing and presentation software to create and edit documents.
• Operates and maintains office equipment, including printers, copiers, and fax machines.
• Works with maintenance staff and outside vendors to ensure office equipment is in good working order and office supplies are always on hand.
• Researches as requested and compiles and summarizes information for reports or presentations.
• Works closely with other administrative staff and supports other colleagues as needed.
• Works with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality and security and ensure compliance with privacy policies and regulations.
• Ensures that deadlines are met and adapts to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with end-users, business partner and software vendor to define user requirements and system design specification.
• Designing, developing, testing and deploy new software to support business requirements.
• Providing application support and change management for existing application.
• Participate in innovation and implementing emerging technologies in the various application platforms.
• Reviewing software design architecture and updating technical documents.
• Server/database administration and maintenance.

Requirements

• Familiar with Software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Capable to learn new IT application technology.
• Good analytical skill and programming skill.
• Experience with Syteline ERP system is an added point

Shift Type / Work Hours

Normal Shift (5 days work week)

7.50am to 4.55pm

• Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
• Create and update expense reports

• Enter financial transactions into internal databases

• Work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
• Familiarity with finance regulations
• Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
• Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)

• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
• BSc/Ba in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
