Job Purpose

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Understand food cost models and how these impact profitability of restaurants

• Supervise stations to deliver orders in accordance to defined cooking processes, recipe and health & safety standard

• Conduct final check on finished product to ensure that food quality and presentation are in accordance to specifications of the menu

• Kitchen Processes and Concept Development

• Manage kitchen inventory levels and quality by placing orders for all food and kitchen supplies based on projected store demand endorsed by chef; and upon delivery, check to ensure quality of delivered supplies

• To support the projection and ordering of food and kitchen supplies by providing inventory report detailing usage & stock level, wastage and product shelf life while considering sales pattern and kitchen storage capacity

• Oversee the setting up and cleaning of stations by staff

• Oversee workflow for stations to ensure that processes adhered to specifications and guide line and to provide recommendations to improve efficiency

• Quality Assurance & Control

• Investigate causes and reasons for customer complaints pertaining to food quality

• Oversee operations to ensure compliance with all safety procedures and guidelines

• Oversee preparation of all food in accordance to SOPs to ensure and maintain consistent food quality

• Oversee overall kitchen cleanliness and sanitary conditions and to ensure all kitchen equipment are in good working condition

• Take corrective actions to resolve unsafe and/or non-compliant conditions and behaviors regarding personal and food safety

• People Management

• Lead team by providing guidance, support and motivation

• Conduct induction for new hires to provide them with the necessary skills and information to carry out roles and functions

• Train and develop kitchen and kaiten staffs in the preparation of all meals to the highest quality standards while adhering to SOPs and workplace safety practices

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join our client's team in the Changi East Region. This full-time role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop and ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all mechanical engineering activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control all jobs so as to achieve the target turn-around time, man-hours and quality level
• Safe custody, control and maintain of all equipment and special tools used by workshop
• Provide first response to the customer’s management on technical investigations and incidents
• Ensure adequate manpower to perform the work
• Co-ordinate and control of works which are performed by more than one workshop.
• Carry out technical studies on modification, improvement, and/or replacement of system/components to the vehicle/equipment
• Ensure good housekeeping in order to provide safe and healthy working environment for the staff.
• Feedback relevant information gathered from meeting, seminars or forums to the staff and keeping the Project Managers informed on the development/situation in the workshop
• Identify and record any product/service problem and initiate action to prevent recurrent
• Verify the effective implementation of preventive and corrective actions on the non- conformity
• Ensure all works are carried out in a safe manner conforming to Department/project safety plan
• Take immediate measures to rectify all observed or reported hazards in the workplace
• Report all near-misses, incidents and accidents to Base Ops Managers immediately
• Act as a Site Incident Controller in a case of emergency

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent
• At least 3 years of work experience as an Engineer in an automotive or other relevant maintenance related industry
• Minimum Class 3 Driving license, Class 4 or 5 driving license is preferred.
• Strong project & people management skills

Qualifications

• Educational Background in Bio/Life Sciences & Microbiology, or Bio-Tech / Bio-Molecular Education, or equivalent with 12 years related laboratry experience (Masters & PhD preferred).
• Experienced with method-related tasks, including development, verification, validation, and enhancement.
• Experience in both Micro-Biology as well as PCR and Bio-Molecular Work will be a huge advantage.
• Possesses SAC Singlas signatory for Microbiology &/or Bio-Molecular and laboratory operation and management experience.
• Minimum 6 years as a laboratory manager, including proven technical knowledge and laboratory experience.
• Experienced in audit & CAPA management skills.
