Purpose of the post

The Research Assistant will be responsible for, and work closely with, the Principal Investigator and study team members to ensure the successful completion of the study on time. The Research Assistant’s principal role will be to work in general practices such as wet-laboratory experiments, data collections and analysis, including related safety & health performances.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Assistant will report to the Principal Investigator to,

1. Oversee the general management of the project;
2. Undertake the day to day running of the project; Provide wet-laboratory and data analysis support to the project, e.g., development and troubleshooting of bioinformatics pipelines for application in next-generation sequencing data analysis, etc.;
3. Provide administrative research support, e.g., organizing meeting to maintain regular communication with members of the research team, safety & heath management of the research activities, etc.;

Qualifications

The applicant should:

1. have a first degree with good results or holds a Bachelor degree in life sciences, biotechnology or related disciplines;
2. be able to work independently and in a team, have an investigative nature, attention to detail;
3. have knowledge of computer applications, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., MS Excel, MS Words, MS PowerPoint);

JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to: Admin Manager
Core Responsibilities
1) Management of customer enquiry and feedback
2) Order processing (Ensure daily orders are fulfilled in a timely manner)
3) Ensure timely delivery of products to customers by effective liaison with internal
and external logistic partner
4) Assist in planning optimal delivery route and schedule of operation activities
such as processing and stock movement
5) Assist in preparation of quotation and tender documents
6) Provide administrative support for business operations.
7) Provide support to the operation in maintaining a smooth operation process.
8) Any ad hoc duties and/or projects as assigned.

Other Requirement:
• Minimum GEO ‘O’ level/SPM or equivalent
• Competent in using Microsoft Office, WhatsApp and Email
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Has an attitude for customer service excellence
• Proficient in English and Chinese (verbal and written)
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback and to interact and
partner with people at all levels Customer Focus, Collaboration and
Teamwork

Job Details:-

• 6 months renewable contract
• Location: 1 North , Woodlands North
• Salary: $2.5k - $3k
• Completion Bonus: 0.5 mths upon completion

Job Scope:

• Process Accounts payable invoices matching and verifying with Purchase Orders and good receipts to ensure compliance with SOX requirements and GST regulations
• Perform supplier reconciliation on a monthly basis
• Liaise with buyers and suppliers to resolve Invoice on-hold issues
• Other duties/ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Accountancy or Diploma in Accounting with 1-2yrs experience
• Preferably with 1-2yrs experience in Accounts Payable
• Good time management and comfortable to work in fast-paced environment
• Experience in using Oracle R12 or other Accounting systems and MS Excel will be an added advantage
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
