We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and develop our advertising sales team for our online media publication. The candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales with extensive experience in building, managing, and motivating high-performing teams.
You are responsible for:
- Sales Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the advertising sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Team Building: Recruit, train, and develop top sales talent, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Client Acquisition: Identify and secure new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key clients.
- Account Management: Oversee key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse sales performance, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
- Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities, identifying new market opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and content teams to align sales strategies with overall business goals.
You will need:
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in advertising sales for digital publication, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and motivating successful sales teams.
- Sales Expertise: Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of digital media and advertising industries.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
