What Will You Do?

You will be in a pioneer team in HDB’s Information Services Group that seeks to embrace DevSecOps culture and practices for application development. The success of our endeavour will form the blueprint upon which all subsequent in-house DevSecOps teams can be modelled after.

As a software engineer on this team, you will work with fellow developers, your Technical Lead, Product Owner and Delivery Manager in iteratively delivering IT solutions for both internal and external stakeholders of HDB. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to different aspects of software delivery, including solution design, CI/CD pipeline configurations, frontend and backend development, and test automation.

1. Have 3+ years frontend and/or backend software engineering experience in building scalable products, with a demonstrated ability in designing and building well-structured enterprise applications on commercial cloud:
a. Skilled in modern web application technology stack, such as React.js, Spring, FastAPI, Django, PostgreSQL.
b. Experienced in development and deployment on commercial cloud such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure

Role Overview:
As an Energy Engineer, you will support the site’s energy sustainability initiatives, improving energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact. You will align with the global energy conservation program and local regulations, manage energy projects, and ensure cost-effective utility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Energy Management: Lead energy efficiency projects, analyze opportunities, and drive improvements in line with global and local energy standards.
  Support energy audits, monitoring systems, and strategic capital projects for sustainability. Promote site-wide energy awareness and conservation initiatives.
  
• Engineering Services: Support process design, equipment validation, and cost reduction targets. Collaborate with teams to ensure effective maintenance and energy-efficient operations.
  
• Capital Projects: Recommend energy-efficient systems and oversee project execution to ensure compliance, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness. Maintain a pipeline of energy conservation projects to meet long-term sustainability goals.
  
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) and cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards. Act as a QMS (Quality Management System) subsystem owner for maintenance and calibration processes.
  

Requirements:

• Min. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Certified Singapore Energy Manager.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in energy engineering, manufacturing, or consultancy.
• Strong project management, leadership, and regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Familiarity with maintenance programs, vendor management, and energy monitoring systems.

Key Information:-

• Working location: Tuas
• Working hours: Mon to Fri, 8am - 5pm
• Contract Term: 1-year contract, renewable
• Bonus: 1 month completion bonus

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in IT engineering, or related field is preferred. Additional technical qualifications in security systems or electronics are a plus.
• Demonstrated success as a sales executive in the IT or physical security industry, with specific knowledge of CCTV, access control systems (ACS), network technology
• Exceptional communication skills to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to craft custom solutions, and proven negotiation expertise.
• An established network within the security industry is advantageous
• Experience with selling SaaS solutions (CRM, cloud-based ACS/VMS) is highly desirable.
