Job Description & Requirements
As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive project schedules and plans to ensure the successful and timely completion of our data center construction project. You will play a key role in coordinating activities, identifying critical path tasks, and optimizing resource allocation to meet project objectives.
Responsibilities:
1. Schedule Development: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project), incorporating all relevant tasks, milestones, and dependencies.
2. Resource Allocation: Collaborate with project managers and department heads to allocate resources effectively and optimize the utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and constraints that may impact project timelines and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
4. Progress Tracking: Monitor project progress against the established schedule, identify deviations or delays, and recommend corrective actions to keep the project on track.
5. Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for senior management and project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, achievements, and areas of concern.
6. Change Management: Evaluate proposed changes to project scope, schedule, or resources and assess their impact on project timelines and objectives. Implement changes as approved by project management.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to coordinate activities, resolve scheduling conflicts, and ensure alignment with project goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
