Job Description:

We are seeking a Buyer Executive to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of market trends.

Responsibilities:

• Source and procure products and services from vendors while ensuring the best possible prices and quality.
• Maintain and manage supplier relationships, ensuring optimal delivery schedules and contract terms.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on new products, trends, and supplier capabilities.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and contracts.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the team to ensure product availability.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and budget constraints.
• Track and evaluate supplier performance and resolve any procurement issues or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to align purchasing strategies with company objectives.

Requirements:

• Experience in retail, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in procurement or a similar role.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and procurement software.
• Ability to analyse market trends and make data-driven purchasing decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Key Job Accountabilities (Actual daily deliverables):

The Buyer shall perform the following purchasing tasks for direct and indirect material:-

- Analyze system-generated MRP and convert the requirement to Purchase Orders.

- Determine the latest pricing and supplier allocations to generate the Purchase Orders for approvals, ensuring timely deliveries and inventories are maintained at desired levels.

- Manage in-house inventory according to policy.

- Optimize inventory through consignment program.

- Identify purchasing risks and flag concerns. Follow up on problematic materials until they are received and acceptable for use.

- Handle material disposition and RMA# for return of rejected material to supplier.

- Request and analyze quotes and competitive bids

- Negotiate purchase terms and conditions, eg, quality standard, price, delivery lead time, etc.

- Alternate sourcing and review value engineering for cost reduction opportunities

- Perform supplier scoring quarterly. Ensure compliance of company standards, procurement policies and procedures

- Drive continuous improvement such as quality improvement, cost reduction, lead-time reduction, payment terms improvements etc

- Able to work independently with people at all levels in a fast-paced environment

- Undertake ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Experience and Qualifications (Required knowledge, skills and experience---however acquired):

• Diploma or Degree holder, preferably in Engineering or Business Administration.

• Minimum 3 years’ working experience in purchasing, preferably in semiconductor or electronics industries.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• SAP knowledge

• Responsible for sourcing, selection and negotiation with suppliers to strive for the best price while maintaining the highest quality, reliability and service (OEM parts)

• Manage project purchasing and procurement activity

• Monitor the performance of the suppliers and understand market price of component.

•Compare & evaluate the quotation from suppliers/vendors and establish working relationship with major OEM suppliers.

Position Summary

Reviews, analyzes, and coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assists with purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and supplier quote requests under general instruction.
• Supports procurement business system data input and integrity.
• Participates in maximizing the procurement teams' changes, part parameters; quote table maintenance, supplier database information, error report analysis, and part number/supplier code information.
• Assist with cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities (e.g. materials, components, equipment and services).
• Works in accordance with and may help improve cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to negotiate highest quality at best value.
• May interact with suppliers and QA to resolve a variety of quality issues.

What You Will Do:

1) Responsible for obtaining materials and components necessary for production. Determines material requirements from production schedules and maintains inventory at planned levels
