Provide Nursing leadership, management and direction in regard to setting and maintaining quality standards, staff development and resource management in daily operation of the unit. The Nurse Manager has an overall accountability for the standard of patient care, appropriate matching of nurse competence to patient need, occupational health and safety of the staff, and clinical risk management. The Nurse Manager is the face of the organisation to the key customers, doctors, patients, their families and friends.

Key Accountabilities:

• Set unit goals and objectives in consultation with clinical team.
• Responsible for induction process, competency assessment, staff learning needs and plans for nurses’ career progression.
• Evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care and make appropriate changes in nursing care delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Nursing, and preferably with Post Basic qualifications in Perioperative / Perianaesthesia Nursing
• Must be a Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in a similar job position and department
• 5-day work week, AM and afternoon shifts required. Must be open to covering on-call duties when required

Responsibilities

• Attend user engagement workshops to provide subject matter input throughout the hospital design planning process, with the aim of optimizing patient journeys and enhancing patient experience.
• Lead discussions for road-mapping development from clinical service planning, infrastructure development and resourcing planning works.
• Collaborate closely with consultants, medical planners, and internal stakeholders to develop service flow design and planning parameters aligned with the project's strategic intent.
• Facilitate workshops and coordinate meetings with stakeholders to understand project requirements, develop appropriate methodologies, technologies, and assumptions for assigned projects.
• Develop end-user briefs, operations requirements, guidelines, and work processes, organizing workshops to gather user requirements and test new models virtually and on physical prototypes.
• Prepare business cases to seek approvals for infrastructure growth and associated funding.
• Responsible for tracking, monitoring and providing updates from various work streams and planning areas to the management, escalating concerns in a timely manner.
• Prepare of periodic reports to update the Committee on the progress of the project.
• Organize and lead activities in relation to the development
• Lead implementation of the operational models in line with the development of hospital services and care models and ensure that it is in accordance with the budget and guidelines.
• Coordinate meetings, book venues, collate agenda, minutes writing and arrange for catering requirements when necessary. Maintain filing system, manually or electronically in shared drive.
• Raise procurement and payment requests as required.
• Any other projects/tasks assigned by the Reporting Officer.
