• Assist and maintain safe custody of Controlled Drugs
• Collaborate with Nursing Manager /Team(s) to:
• Assess staff clinical competency, uphold peri-operative clinical nursing standards and infection control practices
• Maintain effective communication and interpersonal relations with the patients and caregivers

Professional Development

• Participate in continuing nursing education to maintain clinical knowledge and competence
• Mentor junior staff through guidance and training activities
• Provide constructive feedback to the Supervisor regarding staff clinical performances
• Implement and conduct in-service education and unit-based orientation for the OT nurses
• Serve as liaison, and resource person for the perioperative nurses
• Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisors

Resource Management

• Ensure proper use, care, maintenance of endoscopes, instruments, equipment and supplies and economical usage of sterile supplies and consumables
• Assist in inventories and equipment maintenance
• Maintain adequate daily supplies of consumables
• Assist with optimal OT room utilization

Risk and Quality Management

• Report unusual and unsafe practices or incident
• Monitor and ensure adherence to infection control practices
• Implement fall prevention measures

Job Requirements:

• Min 2 year of relevant experience as a staff nurse in clinical setting
• Minimum Advanced Diploma in Nursing
• Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
• BCLS & AED Certified
• Mon to Sat, 5.5 Days

As an Anaesthesia Nurse, you will administer anaesthesia, monitor patients' vital signs during surgery, and ensure their comfort and safety during recovery, along with providing postoperative support for optimal care.

Job Description

• Prepare the operating theatre and the patient for anaesthesia prior to surgery.
• Check and prepare anaesthesia machine, ensuring supplies are ready.
• Assist the Anaesthetist during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases.
• Admit patients before surgery and support their recovery after.
• Deliver continuous professional nursing care to patients.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care.
• Assist with ordering and managing inventory supplies.
• Circulate in the operating theatre as needed.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Nursing or higher.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a tertiary hospital preferred.
• Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board as a Registered Nurse.
• BCLS certification required.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of anaesthesia medications, intra-operative vital signs monitoring, and post-anaesthesia recovery.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
• Advanced Diploma in Perianaesthesia is a plus.
