As the Team Lead of the Marketing and Communications team, you are an experienced and driven individual who will be responsible for leading the team on the development of marketing, communications and content strategies to brand and position e2i as the leading organisation to create solutions for better employment and employability. This includes leading the marketing, digital marketing, communications and service quality efforts. You will also collaborate and build strong partnerships between internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective marketing and communications campaigns.

Job Responsibilities

Marketing

• Strategise, design and execute the marketing and social media plans to support organisational and business objectives. Collaborate with other departments to align goals and maintain consistent branding and messaging
• Drive awareness and brand-building efforts via traditional and digital platforms and reach out to target audiences through creative ways
• Supervise the management of social accounts and content creation
• Continuously evaluate new channels and platforms to engage e2i’s audiences
• Manage agency and vendor relationships and deliverables to ensure consistent and high-quality work
• Measure and report performance of marketing and digital initiatives and assess against goals

Communications

• Deliver and develop communications strategies and implementation plans which encompass Public Relations and other communication vehicles, including new social platforms, video and other multi-media tools to connect with e2i’s customers and build equity of e2i’s brand
• Develop powerful narratives and compelling content to promote the suite of programmes under the initiative (e.g. media materials, profile stories and videos) to various target audiences, e.g. media, public, partners etc.
• Responsible for the development and execution of public relations plans; craft media materials including press releases, speeches, facilitate media interviews and media responses and interview talking points
• Act as e2i’s representative with the media and cultivate strong relationships with media representatives to grow e2i’s brand recall
• Work closely with other business units to integrate media communications initiatives within marketing strategies and campaigns/activities for key events and programmes
• Crisis Communications Management: anticipate and advise on potential issues; develop communications plans to manage issues and crises

Call Centre Management

• Partner with the outsourced call centre to oversee day-to-day operations of call centre services to ensure quality service is provided to members of the public and to achieve operational KPIs
• Be the conduit between the outsourced call centre and the internal business units to review and put in place efficient processes and workflows to ensure proper messaging and good customer service
• Monitor the call centre’s resourcing, training, performance, service standards, escalations, billing matters, analysis reports and trends

Planning and Budgeting

• Develop the department’s strategic short and long term plans, and address critical issues in the marketing and communications area. The plan will set out objectives for the department's strategic direction and outline plans and budget for achieving those objectives
• Keep abreast of the development in the field of communications and public relations, not-for-profit management and governance

Job Requirements

• Degree in Marketing, Mass Communications and Business or related disciplines
• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant work experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Journalism or Marketing, Digital Marketing or Marketing Communications
• Relevant past work experience in a leadership role preferred
• Good organisation, multi-tasking and time management skills
• Experience working with and pitching to reporters
• Excellent presentation, communications and interpersonal skills to engage a wide spectrum of external and internal stakeholders, including multi-agency and cross-functional teams
• Proven track record of developing multi-channel marketing and communications plans, outreach campaigns and publicity materials for government agencies, national projects or consumer products
• Experience managing crisis communications and developing effective communications strategies

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) Office at NTU is established under the NTU I&E initiative to drive overall synergy, coordination and interaction among the pillars along the innovation and entrepreneurship value chain at NTU. The Office seeks to accelerate the University’s efforts to translate NTU’s scientific discoveries, innovations and creative work into technological and social entrepreneurship activities that benefit industry and society.

To propel technologies from prototype to market, the I&E Office is looking for a Chief Master Engineer to join the team. The Chief Master Engineer will be the main point of contact for prototyping and minimum viable product (MVP) services in NTU. He/she will spearhead the realisation of minimum viable product (MVP) in NTU to enhance the pipeline of technologies from NTU that successfully move from prototype to validation trials. He/she will establish <The Makerspace>, NTU’s MVP Atelier, as a compelling one-stop hub where NTU facuty, students and researchers get connected to the resources they need for MVP development, verification and validation.

Responsibilities

• Advise, mentor and coach teams on prototype and MVP (minimum viable product) conceptualisation, development, verification and validation.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and support in the design, building, integration and testing of prototypes and MVPs to ensure their intended end-use objectives are met.
• Facilitate pilot trials to test and validate the performance of MVPs.
• Perform analysis of technology and market trends to identify emerging customer needs and applications of high potential.
• Lead the conceptualisation, planning and development of <The Makerspace>, NTU’s MVP Atelier to be established at the new Innovation Port.
• Manage the resources and funds in <The Makerspace> to optimise prototyping and MVP efforts at NTU.
• Serve as NTU’s main point-of-contact for prototype building and MVP services, providing the vital connection to NTU’s diverse facilities and expertise to empower cross-field research, development, testing and iteration, as well as optimisation of NTU’s in-house facilities and resources.
• Facilitate collaboration of NTU makers’ labs and other research labs/centres to foster synergies of resources and expertise.
• Provide a conduit between NTU faculty/student/ researchers and external design, protoyping and engineering firms / industry partners to facilitate provide the resources for the design, build and engineering of new solutions and products.
• Any other ad-hoc initiatives and projects undertaken by the Office.

Requirements

Educational Qualification(s)

• A Master’s degree (or equivalent professional certification) and above in Engineering, Industrial Design or the Sciences.

Relevant Experience

• Minimum 5 years of proven technology/product design/development experience.
• Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering solutions to complex and ambiguous problems.

Knowledge Required

• Proven track record in project / product development / management.
• Some understanding of lean start-up methodologies or entrepreneurship education will be a plus.
• A knowledge of business models, start-up financing and primary market research for customer validation will also be beneficial.

Job Description / Responsibilities

1. Develop and build competencies in process and design engineering for ISCE2

2. As part of ISCE2 management team, contribute to building a mission and values driven organization

3. Lead and deliver Low-carbon Technology Translation Testbed (LCT3) as a national infrastructure for local and international partnerships

• Understand LCT3 objectives, operating philosophy and how LCT3 fits into the wider ecosystem to support Singapore's Net-Zero ambitions.
• Develop a clear scope that the LCT3 initiative can plan and mobilise against and work with agency stakeholders to set KPIs for the long term sustenance of the facility
• Plan and manage budget for LCT3
• Lead multi-disciplinary and multi-organization LCT3 team
• Understand complexities of the low-carbon technology ecosystem in Singapore and play lead role in stakeholder management amongst industry partners, IHLs and government agencies
• Engage, attract and bring in these stakeholders to participate in LCT3
• Work with agency and academic partners to set up the governance, and support the running of LCT3s governance processes
• Work with all program workstreams to regularly review short & long-term plans
• Participates as part of the ISCE2 leadership team to inform and influence the mapping of R&D activities to a translational outcome aligned with Singapore's national goals.

Requirement

• Doctorate in Chemical or Process Engineering
• Good knowledge of industry and latest technology trends in sustainability
• Over 15 years of proven programme leadership/industry leadership experience in delivering translational engineering projects in the energy/ chemical/pharmaceutical industry. Demonstrated ability to work with procurement and different engineering disciplines, and familiarity with FEL (front end loading) engineering from basic design, basic and detailed engineering, mechanical completion to commissioning are pre-requisites. Experience in commissioning of commercial world-scale plants would be an advantage
• Familiarity with Singapore public sector stakeholder management
• Experienced in working with global management and technical stakeholders
• Experienced in strategic operations and project management
• Exceptional strategic thinking, with the ability to envision long-term goals and develop practical plans to achieve them.
