ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports to the Trade Manager for assigned service management.
· Preparation of the voyage-based allocation for areas and control, manage pricing and space allocations with the aim to improve utilization and Trade performance.
· Management of Agency for rate queries and optimize the utilization to ensure profitability of the services.
- Responsible in managing the communication and coordination with partners on operational processes.
- Preparation of the monthly and weekly reports.
- Analyze the feasibility of new services, organize and implement the opening plan.
- Monitor and communicate business engagement status, including identifying the gaps between existing and future capabilities for deploying ships that meet the requirements of routes, monitor and analysis project progression, overseeing project escalations as required, and ensuring business partners engagement.
- Develop business/marketing plan together with the team for service structure and physical flows.
· Coordinate partners and relevant departments of our party to deal with disagreements and/or disputes etc in the course of service cooperation.
- Provide accurate and timely market updates and demand predictions.
- Other duties/ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
To be successful in this role you will require the following:
Education and/or Experience
· Min. Bachelor of Science in Maritime Studies with Specialization in International Trading, Second Major in Business, Business Management, or equivalent experience.
· Applicants are ideally with 5+ years working experience at Alphaliner Top 30 shipping company headquarters.
· Strong understanding and working knowledge of Intra-Asia Trade Management.
· Possess strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
· Knowledge of the intra-Asia trade partners and services with a proven record.
· Proficient in MS Excel, specifically in VLOOKUP, Pivot-table, basic formulas.
· Good ethics and professional conduct, with strong sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit.
· Good organizational, time management skills and stress tolerance with proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Effectively bilingual in both English and Mandarin (as the position needs to frequently communicate with English/Chinese speaking associates verbally/ in writing whenever appropriate.
