Within Corporate Treasury, Resource Deployment and Strategy (“RDS”) is a unique opportunity for individuals at all levels to manage the firm’s balance sheet from both an asset and liability perspective and directly contribute to executing the firm’s strategy. Working closely with the Global Treasurer and other members of senior management, RDS is responsible for the design and execution of the firm’s central funding plan as well as the primary point of contact for all business lines through Treasury’s global “business coverage” model. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We’re looking for a professional to join our RDS team in Singapore. This individual is expected to contribute to decisions regarding financial resource management, as well as serve as Treasury’s main point of contact with businesses which consume or generate funding

• Develop and iteratively optimize the firm’s funding liability strategy, considering cost, channel diversification, maturity concentration, and impact to key liquidity and capital metrics, with a focus on APAC entities
• Build models, develop analytical frameworks, and conduct scenario analysis to help inform marginal liability management and financial resource allocation decisions based on liquidity availability, marginal costs, return profile, and franchise benefits
• Partner with key stakeholders in Global Banking and Markets, Asset and Wealth Management, and Platform Solutions to deploy the firm’s balance sheet, and to facilitate new activities
• Develop reporting for, and present analyses of, firmwide and subsidiary-level funding plans, for use by internal and external stakeholders, including firmwide senior management, regulators, and investors
• Engage with external stakeholders including regulatory agencies, ratings agencies, and funding counterparties in various forums
• Develop meaningful partnerships with internal stakeholders; develop tools to enhance decision-making capabilities

QUALIFICIATIONS

• Approximately 5 years of working experience in Treasury or a finance-related function in a major financial institution or corporate
• Excellent analytical skills, with ability to formulate problems, test hypotheses, and condense complex problems into plain language
• Experience managing and interpreting large amounts of data, and analyzing the output to identify trends and present solutions through business intelligence tools such as Tableau
• Functional understanding of financial institution financial reports, as well as subsidiary liquidity and capital requirements such as LCR, NSFR, and the G-SIB surcharge
• Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to produce polished presentation materials for senior executives
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and balancing multiple priorities

What you will be working on?

To assist with administrative tasks such as checking applications are complete, sending email reminders to licensees, and maintaining digital records. Key tasks would be as follows:

• Retrieve and digitalise Licence application forms and supporting documents from Licensing portal;
• Support licence renewals e.g. guide licensees on submission of updates or renewal applications, coordinate inputs for licence renewals, generate licence renewal and licence fee payment reminder letters and seek Manager’s approval to send them to licensees;
• Support tracking of key metrics e.g. monitor and provide updates on outstanding payments, non-renewal of licences and licence KPI statistics for monthly reports;
• Digital record-keeping e.g. create folders in Sharepoint and upload digitalised application forms and supporting documents
• Data cleansing before migration of data and data entry into legacy licensing systems during manual processing, where required.
