Job Summary

Reporting to the Director (Corporate Communications), the Executive/Senior Executive (Corporate Communications) will assist in managing the full spectrum of FAS/SPL communications functions including conceptualisation and implementation of creative media and communications strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the management in supervising the Corporate Communications team on achieving departmental KPIs
• Monitor, manage and provide critical analysis of daily media reports. Prepare weekly reports. Handle feedback and conflict resolution
• Analyse the nature and angle of media enquiries. Strategize and coordinate responses to media queries
• Establish good collaborative working relationships with various key media
• Develop and execute vibrant public relations plans to communicate key messages, generate publicity for FAS, SPL and our partners
• Solicit feedback and information from our stakeholders to enable the FAS and SPL to be more responsive to external expectations. Attend to external enquiries and complaints
• Research, evaluate and drive content development based on the content strategy. This includes bylines, social media content, and speaking content
• Implement social media strategies, monitor data from our digital platforms and discover insights to better and produce/curate content for platforms
• Ensure compliance of media directives by all departments, SPL clubs and standing committees. Manage all creative services and handle databases and library of materials
• Provide editorial support to the FAS and SPL websites
• Assist in FAS/SPL events with the overall objective of creating publicity for the organization and/or stakeholders
• Provide administrative support and any other assigned tasks to ensure smooth running of the department operations
• Undertake any other duties as assigned Director (Corporate Communications) and/or the General Secretary

Scope of Work

Content and Editorial Management

· Oversee the editorial calendar and content creation for SeaVoices, including updating monthly, curating thought leadership content, and publishing event reports.

· Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and is engaging for various target audiences.

· Perform editorial tasks on newsletters, reports, publications, and web content to ensure clarity and accuracy.

Event Management

· Coordinate all aspects of event planning and execution, both local and overseas, ensuring seamless operations.

· Draft speeches, vet and approve event-related EDMs, and manage media coverage, including outreach and post-event approvals.

Corporate Image

· Develop and execute the annual report, liaising with design vendors, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.

· Maintain high standards of brand and communication consistency across all materials and collaterals.

Team Collaboration

· Track and analyse content metrics to provide actionable insights and detailed reports to department heads.

· Support team objectives by performing additional duties and handling special projects as assigned.

Requirements

· Singaporean Only

· Min. Degree/ Diploma in Business Management / Mass Communications / Multimedia or equivalent

· Preferably with 1 year experience

· Good written and spoken communications and presentation skills

· Good interpersonal skills – able to build excellent rapport and networks across functional boundaries and external organizations

· Good team player

· Resourceful, pro-active and meticulous

· Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment

· Strong project management skills and ability to execute tasks independently

· Computer literate (MS-Office)

· Familiar with website maintenance/updating and multimedia generating software (eg. Photoshop, movie maker) an advantage

· Simple photography skills an advantage

Strategise and shape communications

• Shape effective corporate communications through writing articles and advertorials for cross-platform communications
• Conceptualise creative news angles, perform media management functions and network with reporters

Amplify the organisational brand

• Shape brand stories that amplify stakeholder voices
• Identify and craft impactful stories of the organisation’s efforts

• Undertake editorial work and coordinate inter-divisional information collation
• Create basic collaterals for outreach

Conceptualise and implement marketing strategies

• Work within the team to develop innovative and integrated communications and marketing campaigns
• Participate in Divisional and SINDA-wide events when requiredDA programmes
• Participate in Divisional and SINDA-wide events when required

Requirements:

• Minimum: Diploma/Degree in mass communications/journalism/media communications or related fields, with at least two-years’ relevant experience; fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
• Background in branding and knowledge of publication production and design software is beneficial (Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator)
• Good aesthetical sense
• Ability to write on demand
• Resourcefulness and proactive approach to sustaining long-term projects and managing deadlines
• Able to work as part of a larger team, but also work independently and manage own time
• Good multitasking, teamwork and interpersonal skills

This is a 2- year contract position, convertible to a permanent role subject to the performance and divisional requirements.
