Job title: Technical Manager for Marine Engineering work projects
Work Location: Singapore
Job Overview:
The project technical manager will be responsible for the technical execution and management of the project under the leadership of the company, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget and in accordance with quality standards. Coordinate the technical team and be responsible for the related planning, design, implementation and post-project maintenance. At the same time, communicate closely with clients and subcontractors /suppliers to ensure that the technical requirements and progress of the project are efficiently implemented.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Technical Management
( 1 ) Responsible for the formulation and implementation of the project's technical plan, ensuring that the project's technical direction meets company standards and customer requirements.
( 2 ) Manage the technical team to ensure that technical personnel are effectively assigned and complete project tasks efficiently.
( 3 ) Track project progress and technical quality, and coordinate resources from all parties to ensure that the project is delivered on time.
2. Technical Method Statement
( 1 ) Participate in the design of project bidding and project implementation phases, and provide technical support for bidding or ongoing projects, including the formulation of design, technical solutions and construction processes .
( 2 ) Ensure the technical feasibility and safety of all designs and technical proposals.
( 3 ) Evaluate and adopt new technologies and tools to ensure the project’s technological competitiveness.
3. Cross-departmental Collaboration and Communication
( 1 ) Work closely with the project team , customers and subcontractors /suppliers to ensure that technical requirements are consistent with project goals.
( 2 ) Provide technical support and solutions to help solve technical problems encountered in the project.
( 3 ) Communicate with subcontractors/suppliers to ensure the rational allocation of technical requirements and resources.
4. Project Schedule and Cost Control
(1) Participate in the formulation of project plans to ensure that technical solutions can be implemented within budget and time.
( 2 ) Supervise the work of the technical team, solve technical problems, and ensure that the project is completed on time.
( 3 ) Assess the risks in project technical implementation and propose solutions.
5. Quality Management and Compliance
( 1 ) Ensure that all technical work complies with industry standards, company regulations and customer requirements.
( 2 ) Develop and implement a quality management plan to ensure strict quality control during project implementation.
( 3 ) Manage the preparation and archiving of project documents and technical documents to ensure compliance and traceability.
6.Continuous Improvement and Technological Innovation
( 1 ) Promote continuous improvement of projects and use new technologies to improve efficiency and quality.
( 2 ) Collaborate with departments and external experts to promote technological innovation and enhance the company's technological capabilities.
Job requirements:
1. Education
Bachelor degree or above in engineering (e.g. civil engineering, construction engineering , project management , etc.) related fields .
2. Work Experience
( 1 ) At least 5 years of technical management experience in related fields and at least 3 years of experience in engineering project technical management.
( 2 ) Be familiar with the project management process, including design, construction, acceptance, delivery, etc.
( 3 ) Applicants with experience in working for Chinese-funded construction companies in Singapore, and experience in offshore engineering projects in Singapore, especially dredging and reclamation projects, will be given priority.
3. Technical Capabilities
( 1 ) Strong engineering and technical background, familiar with the technical standards and implementation details of Singapore engineering projects.
( 2 ) Familiarity with modern engineering management tools (such as AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera, MS Project, etc.).
( 3 ) Be familiar with architectural design, construction process, material selection and engineering compliance requirements.
( 4 ) Have certain experience in digital transformation (such as BIM technology, IoT, automation, etc.).
4. Project Management Skills
( 1 ) Have extensive project management experience and be able to effectively control project progress, quality and cost.
( 2 ) Proficient in project management tools, such as PMI, PMP, Agile, etc.
( 3 ) Familiar with risk management, problem solving and team management.
5. Communication and Leadership Skills
( 1 ) Excellent communication skills, able to maintain effective communication with all team members, customers, suppliers and contractors.
( 2 ) Strong leadership and team management experience, able to motivate the team to achieve project goals.
( 3 ) Good communication skills in both Chinese and English, able to collaborate smoothly in an international environment.
6. Language Requirements
( 1 ) Fluent English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
( 2 ) Applicants with other language skills (such as Chinese) will be given priority.
7. Preferable Acceptance Conditions
( 1 ) Possess relevant professional certifications, such as PMP, engineer license (PE), architect certificate, etc.
( 2 ) Have experience in environmental protection and sustainable building (green building) projects.
( 3 ) Experience in BIM modeling or related projects.
( 4 ) Have your own means of transportation.
