About the Role:

As a CBRE Construction Project Manager, you'll oversee a team responsible for multiple construction projects for small to medium-sized clients.

This job is part of the Construction Management function. They are responsible for ensuring all deliverables of construction projects are completed on time.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
• Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
• Conduct periodic site visits to monitor the progress of construction. Ensure the work is in general accordance with the approved drawings and specifications.
• Prepare construction risk assessment and project status reports. Recommend the release of construction funds. Adjust project resource needs and disbursement schedules. Review agreements, and other submitted documents to ensure timelines are being met.
• Develop communication practices to distribute to stakeholders. Identify and resolve project risks or issues.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
• Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Licensure as either a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is desired.
• Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
• Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information. Convey performance expectations and handle problems.
• Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
• Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

Responsible for directing, coordinating, planning and overseeing tasks and operations within an organisation involving transportation activities.

Directing activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking of transportation vehicles, aircraft, or railroad

cars.

Planning, organizing, and managing subordinate staff members to ensure work is completed and consistent with the company's standards.

Directing investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper complaints.

Collaborating with staff members to formulate and implement transportation-related procedures as well as company revenue goals and customer service objectives.

Arranging repairs and routine maintenance of transportation vehicles.

Complying with transportation-related policies, as well as safety rules, union contracts, and government regulations.

Promoting safe work activities by conducting safety audits, and attending company safety meetings.

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Develop construction project schedule
• Deliver project on time, to budget and to other agreed success criteria within corporate guidelines including the client requirements.

• Responsible for all inspection activities
• Monitor and supervise entire project team to ensure compliance of work
• Check and monitor project budget, as well as prepare for unforeseen costs
• Manage material at construction site to ensure zero wastage and no overstock of material
• Manage company assets and equipment rental to ensure optimal utilization and cost
• Manage manpower and overtime cost to ensure optimal cost benefit within or below budget

Requirements:

• Minimum experience of 3 years as a Construction Project Manager / Coordinator
• Candidate should possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Others or equivalent.
