Responsibilities for Export Operations Officer

Export Responsibilities

• Receive Customers’ Shipment Orders from the Customer Service Unit for the processing of Shipments to various Destinations.
• Ensure shipment details (ie, pieces, weight, dimensions, commodity, rate) are typed correctly onto the Airwaybill / Housewayill.
• Ensure Shipment(s) is correctly identified based on the Customer’s Shipping Documents (Invoice / Packing List) before affixing the Cargo Label(s) onto the Carton(s).

Import Responsibilities

• Receive Customers’ Shipment Orders from the Customer Service Unit for the processing of Shipments for Delivery to the various Customers’ premises.
• Check on the Status (ie, arrived complete, arrived partially, arrived damaged, arrived but still not cleared, arrived but unlocated in the Cargo Terminal, etc) and update the Customer Service Unit accordingly

Our client provides full-fledged freight forwarders offering full inter-model transportation services for both inbound and outbound cargos. Your responsibility involves managing import operations, including awaiting pre-alerts to handle cargo release or delivery arrangements. Responsibilities include inspecting cargo at the warehouse for discrepancies and consulting the team leader for further instructions. The role requires regular communication with customers and overseas agents, monitoring emails, and handling customs-related tasks such as pre-declaring permits and submitting shipment details via the CCN system to Singapore Customs. Additional duties include billing, email correspondence, and other air import operations tasks, with a willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

• Air Export shipment specialist - specializing Aviation / Time Critical accounts.
• Work closely across Internal/External departments to ensure smooth handling of all aviation & time critical shipments.
• Follow up with shipper/ customer on cargo readiness and required documentation.
• Ensure that all external customers' queries are acknowledges within 15mins, while all internal emails are responded within 24hrs.
• Liaise with Airlines on cargo space arrangements and to ensure lead times are met.
• Request assistance from Pricing Desk for adhoc rates when requires.
• Execute shipping documents (AWBs)
• Send pre-advice to OA and customer after finalizing the shipping documents.
• Liaise with warehouse personnel with regards of cargo handling and discrepancies (if any).
• Ensure all shipment had been lodge and all pre alert had been sent out via various portal correctly.
• Update uplift for certain projects.
• Ensure proper handover to the other shift.
• Other general administrative/ adhoc duties assigned by the management/HOD.

Qualifications:

• Min Diploma in any discipline
• Strong IT knowledge (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, Outlook)
