JOB SUMMARY

The Programme for Research in Epidemic Preparedness and REsponse (PREPARE) is a national programme that was set up by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to support and strengthen Singapore’s key essential research capabilities, translational platforms, and expertise to develop tools, methods and products that can be tapped on to detect, respond to, and contain future infectious disease threats.

You will lead and oversee the development and execution of immunogenicity and challenge animal models for viral pathogens within the ABSL3 or ABSL2 setting as part of the PREPARE Vaccine & Therapeutics co-op. This co-op aims to develop pathogen-agnostic technologies and platforms to enable rapid therapeutic or vaccine development to enhance Singapore’s capabilities and access to vaccines during future epidemics. You will be responsible for experimental design, evaluation and documentation of the results and coordination with our host BSL3 laboratory which is located at NTU LKC School of Medicine.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SPECIFIC

1. Development and execution of animal challenge experiments for viral pathogens with pandemic potential within the ABSL3 at LKC Experimental Medicine Building (NTU) and immunogenicity experiments for vaccine platforms within the ABSL2 at LKC Clinical Sciences Building (Novena)
2. Assist with preparation and submission of IACUC protocols
3. Work with the PREPARE Laboratory head to manage PREPARE projects and train/supervise attached staff.
4. Lead the immunological/virological characterization of experimental samples within BSL3/BSL2 e.g. T cell reactivity, viral load, neutralization titre etc in support of PREPARE projects.

• Use classroom visits and observations throughout the school day to support teachers as they assess the learning, emotional and behavioural needs of students
• Support transitions within the school and liaise with others involved in this process e.g. Admissions, High School Counsellor and High School VP Well-being
• Work collaboratively with the AP Student Success and VP to develop an effective school wide approach to counselling and the development of a student Well-being programme
• Assisting parents to liaise with external agencies for follow-up or assistance as appropriate
• Maintain a level of confidentiality around information, documents, notes, photographs or other materials that contain student information and know when and to whom this information can be shared with others including parents, guardians, legal agencies, outside providers etc.

Resource Management

• Manage assigned budgets, showing fiscal responsibility based on priorities for expenditure for areas of responsibility
• Ensure that the range, quality and use of all available resources is monitored, evaluated and reviewed to improve teaching and learning
• Ensure that resources are organised and managed to provide an efficient, effective and safe learning environment
• Look for resources that may be available beyond the school that either support teaching and learning or provide professional development opportunities for the Counselling Department

Communication

• Communicate with teachers, effectively and in a timely manner, about matters pertaining to students with identified counselling needs
• Ensure positive and effective partnerships with parents through regular and clear communication about the student, in particular our Chinese speaking parents.
• Communicate with staff and parents when an identified student has been registered with, and is under the care of, the Counselling Department and the actions to be taken
• Communicate and explain to parents observations, assessments, IEPs and evaluations regarding a student’s social and emotional needs and the support provided in response to these
• Report to SLT any matters related to the Counselling Department
• Immediately communicate any safeguarding concerns to the Vice Principal and/or Safeguarding Lead Teacher

• Participate in the PRD and performance management process to develop goals and improve professional effectiveness
• Seek opportunities for professional development through a range of opportunities such as professional reading, counselling supervision, network groups, in-school or external workshops

As the Compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing compliance and serving as the primary point of contact for anti-money laundering (AML) matters within LMAX Digital Broker Singapore. You will require an in depth knowledge of the Payments Services Act (PSA) and its application to firms offering DPT services to institutional clients. You will work closely with senior management, business units, and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and the implementation of effective AML controls and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the point of contact for MAS, the local regulator and facilitate regulatory filings in accordance with local laws; and also, the point of contact for the day-to-day implementation and execution of Compliance policies related to the Singapore region.  You will also work in cooperation with the Group compliance team.
• AML Program Management: Develop, implement, and maintain an effective AML program in accordance with MAS regulations and international standards. This includes conducting customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity reporting (SAR).
• Money Laundering Reporting: Serve as the designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and be responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of suspicious transactions to the relevant authorities. Ensure that SARs are prepared and filed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify and assess AML and financial crime risks.  Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, and other illicit activities.
• Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver AML training programs to educate employees on their AML obligations and the importance of compliance.  Promote a culture of compliance and integrity throughout the organization.
• Monitoring and Surveillance: Implement and maintain robust monitoring and surveillance systems to detect and prevent potential AML breaches across Fiat and Crypto. Conduct investigations into suspicious activities and escalate findings as necessary.

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CAMS, CFCS) in AML compliance is preferred.

Job scope includes the following:

• Work closely with the Head of Compliance, Risk & MLRO, together with members of the local and global compliance team and other internal functions, to ensure that processes, system and controls are in place and reflect applicable Group and local regulatory requirements,
• Keep pace with regulatory changes, perform a gap analysis on new regulations and undertake an assessment of the relevant changes against current policies and procedures,

4. Simple administrative and office work like distributing items to various classrooms.
5. Escorting contractors working in school compound i.e. Pest Control, Building works & repair, Aircon maintenance servicing & electrical work.
6. Assist in the maintenance of school Facilities i.e. Receive faults/damage report from teachers, co-ordinate with TC for repair, monitoring repair progress and ensure safety measures are in place during maintenance.
7. Assist in the day to day operations and functions of the school as directed by School Leaders; Administrations & Operations Managers.
