• Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion and handover to clients
• Review the project in-depth to schedule various resources, deliverables and estimate costs
• Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with project specifications, building and safety regulations
• Coordinate and direct construction engineers, workers and subcontractors
• Select suitable tools, materials, plant and equipment and track inventory
• Meet contractual conditions of performance requirements
• Review, monitor and adjust the work progress on daily basis
• Manager and the preparation of internal and external reports pertaining to job status in all aspects with the assistant of engineers
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging issues effectively and sensibly
• Negotiate major terms and conditions of agreements, guide the drafting of contracts and obtain permits and licences
• Analyse, manage and mitigate risks in the entire execution process
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

Requirements and skills

• Proven and more than 20 years of working experiences in construction management
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods in civil and structural engineering works
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards in relation to Singapore’s temporary site facilities and site office and other temporary construction site facilities
• Good command in mandarin and able to communicate effectively with Chinese associate and workers
• Understanding of all facets of the construction process
• Ability to plan and see the “big picture” and plan ahead
• Competent in conflict and crisis management, as well as site interpersonal effective communications
• Leadership and human resources management skills
• Excellent time, schedule, safety, and project management skills
• Expert knowledge in construction management, architecture, engineering or related fields
• A diploma in relevant field is an advantage but not a must.
• Good networking and resourceful in Singapore construction industry; Ability to introduce investors and or partners to the company is an advantage

1. Responsible directly to the department manager and perform tasks assigned by superiors.

2. Maintain quality, environment and service standards in the region. Quality includes: people, items, equipment and facilities, and working methods.

3. Understand the work situation, work attitude, service quality and relationship with guests in the area, check for unsafe factors, and handle them in a timely manner to avoid losses.

4. Supervise on-site, implement the reward and punishment system, improve work efficiency, and assist in handling emergencies.

5. Follow operating procedures, report unusual situations, seek instructions from superiors, and handle various emergencies in the department promptly and properly.

6. Follow up on the usage of items in the area, pay attention to saving and avoid losses. Control costs and reduce expenses.

7. Responsible for providing evaluation reports and assessing the work of subordinates.

8. Reasonably arrange and adjust shifts and staff allocation to avoid waste and irrational use of human resources.

9. Report work, propose rectification plans and opinions, implement department work instructions, convey the corporate spirit to the downwards, accumulate customer information and keep records. Collect customer opinions, complete business targets assigned by superiors, and do a good job in promotions.

10. Fill in the shift diary, explain the precautions, implement the cleaning plan, and improve the hygiene quality level.
