Job Title: Site Supervisor

Location: Singapore

Salary Range: $3000 - $3500 (based on experience)

Job Overview:

By Design is looking for a committed and skilled Site Supervisor to manage renovation projects, ensuring smooth execution, safety, and high-quality standards across all job sites. The successful candidate will act as the key link between the interior design team, contractors, and clients.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure safe work practices and proper job execution.

- Manage project documentation, schedules, timelines, and budgets.

- Communicate effectively with the design team, contractors (Mandarin-speaking), and clients.

- Handle incident investigations and recommend solutions.

- Assist with ad hoc assignments as needed.

Skills & Requirements:

- Preferred to have own vehicle for site visits.

- Proven experience in interior renovation and site supervision.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Fluent in English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking contractors.

- No specific educational background required; experience is prioritized.

• To lead the team to carry out the construction phase Cable Tray, cable pulling Panel installation and cable termination, Testing and Commissioning Activity for MV/LV Switchgear, transformer, UPS, DCIS/HMI, etc
• Monitor and inspect construction to ensure compliance with design documents
• Responsible for Electrical interfaces with the operational plant, meetings, and technical clarifications
• Manage a team of supervisors, sub-contractors, and vendors
• Lead in the investigation/troubleshooting of Electrical switchgear fault or failure and provide effective and variable corrective and preventive action.
• Analyses and improve equipment reliability of plant to prevent recurrence with operation group and external contractors.
• Prepare documentation pertaining to procedures, qualities, and safety of maintenance work with appropriate Risk Assessment and comply with BCA requirements.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure systems, equipment and rooms meet internal customers' needs.
• Review all relevant checklists for inspection and testing plan on electrical & instrument system installation.
• Coordinate relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth completion of the project

Job Responsibilities

As Supervisor, your role will be to assist the Management team with the following:

• Assist the management staff in planning, coordinating and managing staff and services to ensure the Restaurant operations run efficiently and effectively and that customer service standards are maintained at all times. Leading a team of Captains, Service Attendants.

• Provide strong presence and leadership amongst the team in absence of management Staff.

• Work with staff in service and food preparation to minimize wastage and increase productivity and efficiency

• Review operating results with the team and identify opportunities to improve performance

• Monitor all cashiering procedures are processed in compliance with accounting standards.

• Inspect table set-ups; check for cleanliness, neatness of the restaurant environment ensuring compliance with standards of cleanliness on a regular basis.

• Review the reservation book, pre-assign designated tables and follow up on all special requests

• Inspect that specified amount of food menus and wine lists are available and in good condition for each meal period

• Ensure pre-shift meetings with staff are carried out and review all information pertinent to the day's business

• Take personal responsibility to resolve guest issues

• Create a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and staff satisfaction

• Monitor guest reactions and confer frequently with service staff or captains to ensure guest satisfaction

• Manages Human Resources responsibilities for assigned department(s) to include creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment; compliance with company policies and legal requirements

• Responsible for coordinating training of all staff as required

• Maintains guest profiles on a daily basis and takes appropriate actions as necessary.

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

• Certificate or Diploma and extensive F&B experience

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience at a supervisory level in a 5-star hotel or a deluxe restaurant, preferably those with Michelin-starred or Black Pearl Diamond credentials.

Other Prerequisite

• Basic service, Cantonese food and operational knowledge

• Have a well-groomed, professional appearance.

• Willing and able to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays

• Able to perform under pressure.

• Must be fluent in English and Mandarin/Cantonese as this role will be required to liaise with English and Mandarin/Cantonese speaking guests.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years solid experience in F&B industry, with at least 3 years in management position
• Strong knowledge in F&B operational workflow, cost control, and managing P/L
• Fast learning ability, effective problem-solving and analytical skills, with good numerical sense
• Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua)

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee warehouse assistants to ensure the safe and efficient handling of goods, from receipt to dispatch, while maintaining proper storage and retrieval practices.
• Leverage the SAP system to streamline warehouse operations, optimize workflow, and track inventory management, including the creation of packing lists and delivery orders.
• Ensure all stock is managed according to FIFO principles and conduct regular inventory cycle counts and audits to maintain accuracy.
• Enforce compliance with GMP and ISO standards, manage relevant documentation, provide staff training, and ensure adherence to SOPs while coordinating schedules and maintaining a safe, secure warehouse environment.

Job Requirement

• Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Warehouse Management.
• Possess a valid forklift license.
