• Maintain and rectify electrical, mechanical and engineering works, plumbing, fire safety equipment and all other auxiliary services of the organisation and its premise.

• Execute/operate and ensure all audio-visual equipment for conferences and events are in good working condition.

• Perform routine maintenance, corrective and preventative maintenance and regular tests on building equipment and facilities.

• Ensure the general cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, control rooms and Maintenance Office.

• Analyse maintenance concerns from other departments; produce Job Order Forms and follow-up to ensure concerns are rectified.

• Report any suspicious or hazardous concerns to the Assistant Security Manager, housekeeping matters to the Executive Housekeeper and maintenance defects to the Maintenance Manager.

• Comply with regulatory and organisational Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and practices.

• Report accidents, near misses and incidents in accordance with WSH reporting practices.

• Ensure compliance with Environmental Management Systems (EMS) standards and practices.

• Ensure compliance with Environmental Sustainability regulatory and organisational requirements.

• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to improve time, cost and quality management.

• Assist in all official events and functions of the organisation.

• Any other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• NITEC, NTC Grade 3, a Professional Certificate or equivalent.

• Higher NITEC Building Facilities or related field will be advantageous.

• 3 years technical experience or more with 2 years in building and/or Hospitality Industry.

• Matured, proactive with positive mindset.

• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

• Guest-centric with passion to serve.

• Excellent interpersonal, with good communication skills.

• Ability to perform independently and as a team.

• Able to work 6 days work week with 3 rotating shifts.

• Perform activities for shift duty check-in and check-out for the floor assigned
• Clean 16 rooms per shift
• Perform cleaning activities of guest rooms, floor corridors and/or public areas as assigned
• Check drawers and ensure availability of guest rooms amenities at all times; replenish amenities and supplies in rooms and/or public areas
• Maintain cleanliness of cleaning carts, ensure sufficient room amenities and supplies in the Attendant’s cleaning cart
• Ensure room cleanliness adheres to the hotel standards set by the Executive Housekeeper
• Make beds as per housekeeping required standards
• Vacuum carpets
• Dust furniture, fixtures and fittings
• Replenish coffee/tea supplies
• Wash shower room, wall tiles, floor tiles, toilet bowls and hand basin
• Empty all waste bins and replace bin lining
• Change and replenish towels and toiletries
• Wash drinking glasses and cups/saucers
• Clean window glass panels, table glass top and mirrors
• Send soiled linen to linen room to exchange for fresh linens
• Throw rubbish at the bin center
• Inspect rooms and/or public areas to report defects and missing items
• Ensure all cleaning of electrical equipment used in the course of work are maintained in good working condition
• Report any loss of and/or damages to linens, furniture, fixtures and/or equipment to the Duty Housekeeping Supervisor
• Update and complete daily Attendant’s Report for submission to Duty Housekeeping Supervisor
• Report and turn over lost and found items in accordance to the Organisation’s standard procedures

Job Requirements

• Min Primary education, speaks and writes simple English
• Relevant experience preferred. Training would be provided for those without experience
• Ability to speak and write Basic English
• Working location is in Orchard
• Able to work rotating shifts including public holidays and weekends
• 6 days work week with 3 working shifts 7.00am to 3.00pm, 3.00pm to 11.00pm and 1.00pm to 9.00pm.
