Education, Skills, and Competencies

Education and Experience

• [Preferred] Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACECCE) or Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education

Technical Skills and Competencies

• Adequate knowledge of current early childhood care and education development theories, research and practices
• First-aid certified

Position Summary:We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Teacher to support lead teachers in the classroom. The ideal candidate will assist in the implementation of educational activities, provide individualized attention to students, and help maintain a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and lesson planning.
• Support students in small groups or on an individual basis.
• Monitor student behavior and assist in classroom management.
• Help prepare materials and resources for lessons and activities.

Requirements:

Job Description:

• Hygiene procedures are followed to ensure cleanliness of rooms and prevention of cross-infection (nappy changing, washing, bedding, storage of personal belongings, etc).
• Assist the teacher in facilitating the educational programs and activities in the classroom setting and on field trips.

· Checking students in and out of lessons and therapy sessions

· Taking temperature during check in and before check out

· Step in as teachers assistants when needed (relief teaching assistant)

· Assist teachers and therapists where you are needed, including toileting and diapering for children

· Monitor office inventory levels and raise purchase request to Head of Operations if procurement is required.

· Assist Therapists in cleaning up and tidying materials after sessions or classes

· Daily maintenance of Therapy Centre e.g. simple wiping down of toys and racks, clearing bins

· Assist with answering enquiries

· Other jobs as assigned by Head of Operations / Clinical Director

· Work in a multi-disciplinary team of SPED Teachers and Therapists

· 8.30am – 1pm weekdays
