JOB SUMMARY

• The purpose of the role is to manage delivery of regulatory requirements and support governance and control within the OCIR and FMI function in Group Resilience. The individual supports the Head of OCIR & FMI and will work closely with key stakeholders in Group and Regional Resilience teams, across Business and Functions, Operational Risk, Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) and other functions to ensure that the requirements of the regulations are monitored and delivered effectively so as to maintain ongoing regulatory compliance.
• Operational Continuity in Resolution is a key element of the broader Recovery and Resolution Planning initiative, the G20 Financial Stability Board’s effort to eliminate the problem of “Too Big to Fail” Banks. OCIR & FMI aim to ensure that in a Resolution Scenario, Standard Chartered can run on in an orderly fashion until it’s restructured, without negatively impacting the financial system or the wider economy of the countries we operate in.
• For FMIs specifically, this role will require engagement with Transaction Banking, Retail Banking, Financial Markets, Technology & Operations to ensure the resolution readiness of our key clearing and settlement arrangements both internally and externally. Responsibilities

1. Design and implement scalable system architectures focused on IT software solutions.
2. Have a good knowledge of cloud integrations with security, monitoring, and observability tools (Datadog, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry, Qualys, etc.)
3. Support for the Devops & Cloud Market roadmap, being a promoter for internal technical & devops culture.
4. Be a referent on platform administration (Kubernetes, EKS, MSK, OpenSearch, Rancher...), with a focus on Kubernetes.
5. Responsible of Cloud deployment questions and environment administration
6. Stay informed about the regulatory updates, and emerging technologies.
7. Implement and maintain robust security measures.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration.
9. Produce technical documentation and system designs.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven expertise in designing software architecture, network interfacing, and data pipeline.
3. Proven expertise in Cloud architecture and virtualization technologies
4. Mastery in Software Architecture, Network Diagram, Data Flow Diagram, Interface Protocols.
5. Familiarity with IaaS/ PaaS, Database Management (RDBMS & NoSQL).
6. Technical proficiency in Docker, CI/CD Pipeline, Java ecosystem.
7. Good knowledge about databases : Oracle, Postgres
8. Strong understanding of security principles.
9. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
2. Ability to assess business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
3. Experience with network architecture and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technologies.
4. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
