Accounts Receivable & MIS Management

• Perform day-to-day operations related to Accounts Receivable and MIS

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Finance Manager will oversee the Accounts Department at Peacehaven, managing the full spectrum of financial matters for all units. This role involves driving financial efficiency, ensuring compliance with funding agreements, and delivering insightful financial analysis to support decision-making.

* Financial Operations & Policy Development:

• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations and processes.
• Develop, implement, and improve financial policies and procedures.

* Funding & Grants Management:

• Manage funding and grant agreements, including monitoring updates and expirations.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of government funding claims.

* Financial Reporting & Budgeting:

• Prepare and submit monthly financial and management reports.
• Consolidate and prepare the annual budget for all units in Peacehaven.

* Financial Analysis & Recommendations:

• Perform financial analysis and identify trends for improvement.
• Assess areas of risk and provide actionable recommendations to enhance financial performance.

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant managerial experience.
• Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of financial processes, budgeting, and reporting.
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with funding and grant management is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Payments Accountant in day-to-day operations by ensuring that payments are made timely and accurately, and ensuring that invoices are verified and approved before processing payment.

Job Description

The successful candidate will join the Overseas Accounting Department in SIA Finance Division.

Key Responsibilities
1) Internal control
- Review and complete monthly accounts receivable, accounts payable, accruals, cash audit checklist, highlight and follow through any abnormalities with accountant and stations.
- Monitor and liaise with stations to ensure they have followed the procedures and policies stipulated in the Finance Manual in their accounting processes.
- Assists to support queries from stations on arising basis.

2) Month-end closing
- Assist with review of station month-end financial closing activities.

3) Accounts Receivables
- Follow up with stations on defaulted debts/aged debts to provide provisions for doubtful debt.

4) General Ledger
- Monitor and ensure prompt clearance of suspense account. As and when required, to assist station in posting the accounting entries for account clearance.

5) Budget and Forecasting
- Business partner with station Business Units (“BUs”) on variance analysis of station’s operational expense incurred and query station for explanations.
- Review stations’ submissions of their quarterly Budgetary Control Statement (“BCS”) reports.
- Assist in station’s operating budget exercise on an annual basis.

6) Operational Accounting
- Assist station’s request for billing to subsidiaries or third parties upon request.
- Handle station’s request of new SAP access in conjunction with the Segregation of Duty (“SOD”) matrix updated to flag out discrepancies.
- Keep track of Business Process Outsourcing vendor’s Key Performance Indicator (“KPI”) to ensure they are within the targets set.

7) Others
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (“UAT”) for system enhancements.
- Other assignments and projects as assigned from time to time.
