JOB PURPOSE

What will I be doing?

• Ensure guest rooms’ flowers and plants are delivered or replaced and well maintained.
• Ensure all Lost & Found items are properly and promptly reported and handed over to Housekeeping Office.
• Retrieve items loaned to guest upon guest departure.
• Communicate and co-ordinate with other departments, especially Reception, Engineering, Room Service and Flower Shop.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is in good working condition.
• To be fully aware on procedures for emergencies.
• Assist in room linen and other room setup inventory as and when required.
• Perform midnight shift in the absence of the midnight supervisor.
• Responsible for scheduling, assigning, training and supervision of all staff in the public area section.
• Inspect personal grooming, uniform tidiness and cleanliness of Team Members.
• Control and supervise inventory for cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Co-ordinate with contractors for the maintenance of cleaning equipment.
• Schedule and supervise the pest control treatments.
• Schedule and supervise carpet shampooing, upholstery shampooing, floor waxing, marble floor crystallization and window glass cleaning.
• Upkeep and maintain flowers and plants in the F&B outlets and public areas.
• Effectively communicate the hotel’s safety working procedures to Team Members.
• Check on the work carried out by the overnight cleaning contractor.
• Liaise with contractors for carrying out all special cleaning programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
