Job Description

• Participate in the financial and management accounting functions for the Trust, Singapore properties and other entities and ensure smooth financial reporting for these assets/entities
• Responsible for review/preparation of period-end close (monthly, quarterly, annual), GST filing requirements, variance analyses, cash flow management, planning, and budgeting and forecasting
• Liaise with other business stakeholders including internal and external auditors, property managers, corporate finance, tax advisors
• Analyse financial results and identify improvement opportunities in internal controls, processes, policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with accounting, tax, statutory and regulatory requirements
• Support system implementation/improvements as necessary
• Support in ad hoc projects and other initiatives as assigned
• Guide/supervise team members as necessary
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy
• Minimum 4 years of relevant work and accounting experience
• Some REIT/real estate experience preferred.
• Analytical, resourceful & possesses good problem-solving capability.
• Self-motivated, meticulous, hands-on, able to work independently and proactive team player.
• Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced dynamic environment.
• Good communication and organization skills
• Hyperion, SAP/BPC knowledge advantageous
• CPA or CA qualification advantageous

Role and Responsibilities

• Reports to Senior Finance Manager, Asia
• Responsible accounting and reporting of our holding company in Asia: -

1. Handle full set of accounts, month end closing and statutory accounts

2. Prepare debit/ credit notes and posting entries to accounting system

3. Check and process staff claims, suppliers’ invoices and payments

4. Review timesheet submissions and prepare management fee recharges on quarterly basis

5. Prepare monthly expenses schedules, fixed asset register, bank reconciliation and etc

6. Treasury reporting including cash forecast

7. Prepare corporate income tax, GST return and assist in Withholding Tax matters when necessary

8. Prepare monthly local management and regional reports cum variance analysis

9. Responsible for monthly reporting to HQ and RHQ

10. Reconciliation of monthly inter-company balances

11. Responsible for statutory audit by the external auditor

12. Liaise with related parties for the settlement of management fees

13. Liaise with tax advisers for annual tax computation and other tax matters

• Assist in Budgeting & reforecasting process
• Assist in accounting related functions and any other ad-hoc assignments

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting and reporting
• Meticulous, well-organised and good with numbers.
• Team player oriented and with a high level of integrity
• Able to work independently and meet tight reporting deadlines
• Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint

• Accounts Receivables & Payables in Multi-currencies
• Preparing Bank Reconciliations
• Preparation of cash flow analysis and projection
