RESPONSIBILITIES

The principal engineer associates in this role, function as information technology (IT) professionals serving as technical experts and participate in or oversee a variety of analytical and technical assignments that provide for problem diagnosis and solutions documentation, implementation, administration, support, and maintenance of a variety of hardware, software, and network products in an information technology infrastructure environment. • Lead and oversee investigations into the form and function of design features.
• Develop and refine technical drawings of mechanical parts and assemblies to convey design intent and guide manufacturing processes.
• Create communication documents to effectively convey design details to clients or manufacturing partners.
• Establish and maintain design history files for documentation and reference purposes.
• Validate system and product capabilities by designing and conducting feasibility studies and testing methods.
• Innovate manufacturing processes by designing and adapting equipment for component fabrication, assembly, and installation.
• Ensure system and product quality through the design and implementation of testing methods; verify finished product and system capabilities; validate fabrication, assembly, and installation procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics or any related field in Engineering.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in Engineering and Product Design, specifically in pressure vessels.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and/or Solidworks for creating engineering drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with Professional Engineer on the Temporary works
• Handle of technical and engineering problems
• Daily site activities planning, preparing work breakdown, daily site operations, site coordination, monitoring and report work progress.
• Work closely with subcontractors on project progress and ensure timely work arrangements.
• Liaise with consultant and carry out site inspection.
• Able to take on PE Assigned supervision role.
• Provide guidance to supervisors in relation to construction works, ensure progress according to schedule
• Maintain quality standards, carry out site inspections and resolve technical issues on time

Requirements:

• Min Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering or its’ equivalent
• Experience in underground civil works (tunnelling) ,Diaphragm Wall, Bore Piling is a plus
• Possess RE Registration with IES is an advantage
• Experience in LTA/MRT Project is an advantage
• Able to lead and work independently

• Manage the quality assurance/quality control function on-site on various project phases.
• Ensure that the approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and Method Statements are implemented by the sub-contractor on site and the particular hold points required are coordinated with the Project Team.
• Review Inspection, Test, Plans as submitted by the sub-contractor’s and ensure compliance with authorities/client's requirements.
• Closely monitor site activities, fully coordinate with site engineers, issuing NCR’s in case of non-compliance.
• Monitoring and checking calibration of plants, equipment and testing instruments.
• Monitoring plant conditions and material production during construction phase.
• Approval of source of materials, keeping track of the testing, quality and usage of materials procured for the works.
• Perform inspections of deliverables to ensure that material is as per approvals.
• Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents
• Carry out Internal Audit at the site as scheduled in the Project Quality Plan(PQP).
• Able to identify problems, root cause & offers solutions.

• Familiar with LTA projects job specifications in both civil and architectural works
• At least 3 years QA/QC experience in construction industry
