We have a vacancy for Programme Executive (Community Music) (2-year contract).

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Programmes Development and Planning

• Conceptualize and develop innovative music programmes and projects that address specific social concerns and align with the MSM’s vision, mission and values.
• Collaborate with community stakeholders, artists, educators, and researchers to design music interventions that resonate with target audiences.
• Ensure that music programmes are culturally sensitive, inclusive and accessible to all community members, regardless of background or ability. Strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equity.
• Stay informed about best practices, research and trends related to community music programming and social impact initiatives.

2. Community Engagement and Empowerment

• Engage community members (especially within MCS) as active participants and co-creators in the development and implementation of music-based initiatives, fostering a sense of ownership and empowerment.
• Facilitate workshops, discussion forums, and collaborative projects that use music as a medium for dialogue, reflection, and collective action on social concerns.
• Advocate for the importance of music as a tool for social change and raise awareness about the benefits of music-based initiatives for addressing social issues.

3. Evaluation and Impact Assessment

• Monitor program implementation, collect feedback from participants and stakeholders, and analyse qualitative and quantitative data to identify strengths, challenges, and areas for improvement.
• Generate evidence-based insights that document the transformative power of music in addressing social concerns and contribute to knowledge sharing.

4. Administrative Duties

• Manage budgets for community music programs, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and responsibly.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of music programs, including participant information, program activities, and outcomes.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate program achievements, challenges and impact to stakeholders and funders.
• Oversee the administrative functions of Community Music, encompassing budget management, scheduling resource allocation, and record keeping.
• Facilitate the information and document management for CM activities.

Job Requirements

• Minimum university degree from a recognised institution.
• Preferably to have degree in Social Work, Non-Profit Management, Special Needs Education, Event Management, or a related field, from an recognised institution.
• At least 5 years of experience working for social service agencies, the public service, or international non-profit organisations.
• Must have a strong network with sector leaders and regulators.
• Have proven experience in non-profit operations, with a strong understanding of the regulatory requirements for organizing community music events.
• Knowledge of local policies and grant programmes, with attention to detail in the completion of the requisite documents for programmes.
• Able to work well independently, under tight timelines, and on weekends.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in interacting effectively with stakeholders of the social service ecosystem. Must have genuine patience in serving special needs stakeholders and other marginalized community members.

We have a vacancy for Administrative Executive.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. General administration and centre management:Update and maintain student database for quarterly and ad-hoc invoicing.
- Develop, formalize, and implement company procedures and processes, in-house business forms, and document templates.
- Manage the communication platform. Ensure good student management including correspond to webmail and manage all general email enquiries.
- Attend to internal and external customer service related queries, such includes walk-in, email and/or telephone enquiries. This includes fee collection, sale of books, etc.
- Convert walk-in and call enquiries for school courses to actual sign up of the courses.
- Arrange, manage and update full-time and adjunct teachers’ lesson schedules. Liaise with students, parents and teachers to handle their requests, complaints, grievances, transfer, etc.
- Provide support to Faculty and adjunct teachers in respect of logistics arrangement such as scheduling, checking studio availability and other administrative matters.
- Liaise and manage correspondence with donors, institutions, churches pertaining to their enquiries.

Prepare purchase requisitions (PRs) for approval.
Prepare financial reports as and when required.

3. Support MSM events in registration and logistics:Liaise and coordinate with different stakeholders on their requirements.
Provide logistics support to ensure the smooth operation of events.

4. Manage office and studio facilities:

- Perform inventory and assets tracking periodically.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors on event requirement and office supplies.
- Manage studio reservation.

5. Manage arrangement of Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) examinations

- Support MSM students and teachers to arrange for accompaniment when required.
- Arrange for pre-examination screening.
- Liaise with ABRSM representative office on examination arrangement.
- Provide data on student enrolment, as required for Management Committee meetings.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities and Duties

a) General Administration

• Assist with general administrative duties which include handle incoming and outgoing mails, answer calls and other ad-hoc assignments.
• Manage Bishop’s office travel arrangement (flight, accommodation, itinerary, budget); provide support for Presidents from Annual Conference and other delegate travelling arrangement when the travelling is initiated and/or organised by Bishop’s office.
• Perform RSVP to invitations on behalf of Bishop’s office.
• Attend to guests and visitors’ enquiries and their visits to the office.
• Upkeep the general cleanliness and tidiness of Bishop’s office.

b) Organize and coordinate meetings for Bishop‘s office

• Manage meeting logistics by booking conference room and/or schedule zoom. Send email notice to meeting group. Set up the meeting room and cater lunch/dinner/refreshments.
• Other arrangements include car park reservation and prepare meeting papers and materials.

c) Prepare letters and liaise with the appropriate Councils

d) Manage administration follow-up to government agency for 3 Annual Conferences

• process request for NS deferment for pastors from all 3 Annual Conferences.
• process application for new solemnization license and renewal license for pastors of all 3 Annual conferences.
• update ROM on solemnizers’ information (church transfer, change of email address, home address, phone number, resigned, retired, deceased, etc) and letters, etc.

e) Stand in for Personal Assistant roles in her absence.
