Singapore Health Services, commonly known as SingHealth, is the largest group of healthcare institutions in Singapore. Institutions of SingHealth namely; KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore General Hospital and the National Cancer Centre of Singapore, together with Hammersmith Hospital, United Kingdom, is accredited by RCOG as a joint subspecialty training centre in Gynaecological Oncology. It is the RCOG’s first formally recognised overseas training centre for Subspecialty training in Gynaecological Oncology.

Job Description

This is a 2-year subspecialty specialist training programme. The successful trainee will spend the 1styear training in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore General Hospital and the National Cancer Centre of Singapore. This will be followed by a 2nd year training at Hammersmith Hospital, United Kingdom. The successful trainee will be trained in Gynaecological Oncology and exposed to relevant specialties e.g. Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Palliative Medicine. The trainee will benefit from being exposed to the academic and large critical mass and multi-disciplinary specialists both in Singapore and London, United Kingdom.

This training post will commence on 1 August 2024 in Singapore and the 2nd year will be in London, United Kingdom. At the end of these 2 years of training, the successful trainee will be a fully accredited RCOG Subspecialist in Gynaecological Oncology.

By the time of the closing date of the application, the eligibility criteria for application will include:

• At least 2 years of active clinical practice as a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
• Registered with Singapore Medical Council (SMC) and Specialists Accreditation Board (SAB)
• Equipped with MRCOG postgraduate qualification
• At least two 1st author publications in the specialty of obstetrics in PubMed indexed journals
• Has research experience in the specialty of Gynaecological Oncology

KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital is the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists first formally recognised overseas training centre in this region for their overseas Subspecialty Training in Maternal and Fetal Medicine (RCOG MFM SST).

Job Description

This is a 2-year subspecialty specialist training programme. The trainee will be exposed to and trained in all the subspecialties of high-risk Obstetrics, medical complications of pregnancy and fetal medicine and fetal therapy. The trainee will benefit from being exposed to the large critical mass and multi-disciplinary specialists both in Singapore and London, United Kingdom.

Training & Development

- Conduct Training Needs Analysis in consultation with the target group or individual to develop new training programme or modify and improve existing programme according to knowledge gaps
- Develop basic to intermediate training design, modules, programs and materials necessary to meet training needs.
- Arrange and upkeep training venues, equipment and materials pertinent to the effective delivery and measurement of training.
- Conduct theory and practical training sessions from basic to intermediate training programs on in-house treatments, product knowledge, customer service and sales techniques.
- Conduct training evaluation (reaction to result level) and review post-training results / feedback periodically to track training progress and effectiveness.
- Present reports on training results to management and identify opportunities for improvement based on evaluation feedback.
Other ad-hoc project as required.

Training Quality Control & Audit

Conduct quality check audit on field to ensure proper execution of knowledge and skills in compliance with the service delivery standards
Work closely with retail outlet(s) to monitor the beauty therapists’ knowledge and skills, and identify candidates for additional training if necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

- Candidates should possess at least a Diploma in any field
- Relevant beauty or complementary therapy qualifications would be highly advantageous for the role. (E.g. ITEC, CIBTAC, CIDESCO, NITEC, etc.)
- At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience years in a similar role. Candidates who has relevant experience in Customer Service, Retail Operations or Beauty / Spa industries preferred.
