Requirements*

Job Requirements :

• Recognised Diploma in Occupational Therapy with 2 years of experience or Entry Level candidates with Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Conditional or Full Registration granted by Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC)

The incumbent is responsible to:

• Assist the pharmacist in the processing of medication orders for inpatient and outpatient dispensing which includes typing, packing, labelling and distribution of drug supplies to the wards and other hospital departments
• Perform billing functions and ensure that cost and revenue of all stocks supplied are recovered
• Dispenses medicines under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Monitor and maintain inventory stock level of drugs in the areas of work
• Receive, unpack and check deliveries against the appropriate documents, to ensure that items supplied are correct and accounted for
• Perform stock receipts and issues strictly in FIFO order
• Assist in providing quality customer service
• Maintains the cleanliness of the work areas and prepare these for daily operations
• Assist in orientating new staff assigned to the section
• Supports the hospital by participating actively in the various activities organized by the hospital

Job Requirements:

• Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Course or a Diploma in Biomedical Science (Specialization in Pharmaceutical Science Technology) or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science and relevant experience

What You Can Expect

As a key member of the School Dental Services department, you will provide oral health education and promotion activities to pre-schoolers, school children and adults to help create better awareness of good oral health and dental fitness. You will also organize toothbrushing exercises in pre-schools. You will deliver health education presentations to children, teachers and parents to convey effective health messages through interactive engagement with hands on demonstration techniques.

If you have a certificate in dental therapy, you will get the opportunity to provide on-site oral health screening programmes, oral health fluoride therapy, and fissure sealants to children in pre-schools and secondary schools. You also will participate in service deliveries and quality audit activities, provide feedback and suggestions for service improvements.
