The Memory Aging & Cognition Centre (MACC) is a Research Center within the National University Health System funded by the Singapore National Medical Research Council that focuses on the study of dementia and cognitive impairment in the elderly. The MACC currently has 4 research themes on (i) neurochemistry, molecular pathology and biomarker discovery, (ii) neuroimaging, (iii) clinical assessment and (iv) epidemiology.

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our team at the MACC. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the daily operations and maintenance of the laboratory, as well as the handling of samples obtained from human or animal studies. The successful candidate will also have opportunities to work on various laboratory testing/techniques and contribute to the team's research effort in neurochemistry and blood biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease and vascular cognitive impairment.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Handle samples obtained from human (blood, plasma, serum, post-mortem brain tissues) or animal studies, including the proper processing, documentation, tracking, storage and retrieval of samples.
2. Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
3. Manage and coordinate daily operations and maintenance of the laboratory, including administrative duties.
4. Support the PI and Research Fellows in experimental procedures related to neurochemistry and blood-based biomarkers research.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain all lab equipment.
• Perform daily analysis of plating chemicals.
• Calculate the required top-up amounts for plating chemicals.
• Update control charts and ensure all analysis results are accurately recorded.
• Calibrate lab and wastewater treatment plant’s ORP meters in-house.
• Review and update work instructions for the lab and wastewater treatment plant as needed.
• Ensure smooth operation of auto-analyzers for treated effluents.
• Monitor and maintain inventory for "Quick Test Kits" used for daily effluent checks.
• Keep the plating laboratory clean and organized following 5S housekeeping principles.
• Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Manage product/process Control Plan, FMEA, and Process Flow.
• Assist with internal and external audits when required.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

· Handle and support day-to-day HR and Admin related matters

· Prepare HR Letters (i.e. Disciplinary, Contracts, Confirmation, Extension of Probation, Promotion, etc.)

· Maintain accuracy of HR database and updating employee records in HR information system

· Follow up and ensure that all employees’ employment status is updated and processed timely

· Ensure all documentations are properly filed (i.e. P-Files, E-P Files)

· Check and verify staff attendance for Payroll processing

· Check and verify employees’ leave application, medical claims, etc.

· Validate and prepare biometrics report for billing

· Handle employees’ enquiries and feedbacks

· Assist in claims submission, government grants, insurance, etc.

· Assist in coordinating training and development need for employees

· Handle walk-in interviews

· Any other HR/Admin duties assigned

Job Requirements:

· Diploma in Human Resource Management and/or related field

· Minimum 1 year of experience in HR Function (Candidates with no experience are welcomed. Training will be provided)

· Basic knowledge of Employment Act, IRAS and MOM regulations and HR best practices

· Strong organizational and administrative skills

· Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office

· Positive working attitude, people-oriented, strong team player, excellent communication, and interpersonal skill

Assist the outlet manager in the overall management of the studio.

Ensuring smooth operations within the studio, including administration and front desk duties, and providing tip-top customer service to the art jammers.

Handle studio bookings and general enquiries through phone calls, emails, and reservation systems.

Monitor stock levels and ensure that the studio is well-stocked at all times.

Collection and recording of fees.

Arrange online order/ delivery for our e-commerce products.

Providing administrative support when needed.

Liaising on particular programmes, activities and events with the relevant teams.

Assist the classes when needed.

General housekeeping duties of the studio, providing a clean and safe space for the art jammers.

Generate marketing content for the studio.

Assist in any ad hoc tasks assigned by the outlet managers or the management.

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team for assisting execution of ongoing programs and helping with the roll-out of new education programs.

As our Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to a portfolio of education programs and ensuring that the programs are completed in budget and on-schedule.

This is a dynamic role and the responsibilities will include;

- Keep a record of admission numbers and assist with any queries related to the admission process.

- Assist with the booking of venues and facilities for the programs.

- Coordinate with various vendors for materials and supplies related to the program and ensure timely deliveries

- Help with the drafting is letters and documents related to programs.

- Analyse and present feedback data from the programs conducted.

- Assist the Director with other general Admin work (filing of documents, scheduling meetings, sending invitations, setting zoom meetings etc)

This position supports the marketing team in various tasks related to promotional activities, creative content creation, online sales, and data analysis.

Marketing Duties

· To create content for corporate marketing material in print, website, mobile, video, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google Business).

· Create the design on posters, standees and flyers using Photoshop/Canva

- create a video using video editing software, and must be comfortable in front of video.

· Assist in developing strategies to drive traffic to increase revenue

· To create successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution and conversion rate.

· To work on any other project that is assigned by your superior.

Requirements

- Undergraduate student, able to commit for at least 6 months to a full-time internship

- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a flexible, fast fast-paced and challenging environment

- Creative and able to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision

- A keen eye for detail, good style and design

- Excellent command of writing & verbal communication skills with a flair for words for good copywriting and storytelling

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
