We are looking for a SPED TEACHER ASSISTANT to work fixed hours 9:00AM to 1:00PM (20 hours per week), Monday to Friday.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher to support the children where needed

• Help the teacher to set up the classroom to facilitate lessons

• Prepare resources as instructed by teachers

• Clean teaching aids and resources; sterilise toys/resources

• Maintain a safe, neat and clean environment

• Support children during snack time, grooming and toileting

• Carry out other tasks as assigned by the teachers

Qualifications & Experience

• Prefer at least 5 ‘O’ level credits

• Certificate in Special Education or a related field is an advantage

• Minimum 1 year experience working with children with special needs.

• Applicants with experience as a pre-school teacher assistant will be considered.

• Good communication skills

• Patient and understanding when working with children with special needs

Salary: Monthly rated. Range is $900-1200 per month.
