PURPOSE

This position will report to the Internal Audit Division, Nippon Express Holdings, Tokyo and will be responsible for conducting interview with auditees for Accounting, Logistics Operation, Safety control, Compliance, General Affairs and IT Security Control of NX Group of companies in South Asia & Oceania Region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct Internal Audit Interview to cover all areas of logistics and warehousing business.
• Convince auditees who have different opinions.
• Plan business trips to NX Group of companies in South Asia and Oceania for audit purpose.
• Establish contact with auditees to obtain necessary evidence data.
• Summarize and present the audit findings and encourage the auditees to make improvement activities.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant.
• Minimum 10 years work-related experience in the field Internal Audit.
• Experience in logistics industries will be an added value.
• Regional role experience will be an added value.
• Ability in writing audit reports and communicating in Japanese.

I) Job Responsibilities

• Executing risk based financial, operational and compliance audit which includes developing internal audit scope, audit planning and performing internal audit procedures.
• Identifying and communicate to stakeholders on business inefficiencies, internal control weaknesses or operational issues observed during audits and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Preparing internal audit reports (in dual language English and Chinese if necessary) highlighting control gaps and non-compliance with the Group’s policies and procedures and conduct exit meetings with management.
• Assisting in developing of annual risk-based audit plan and periodic reporting to the Audit Committee.
• Performing audit of designated entities as a lead auditor and will be in charge of relevant audit with preparing and compiling results of audit.
• Supervising audit team and monitoring of staff performance and feedback, as well as identify appropriate training.
• Performing follow-up reviews on previous internal audit issues to ensure actions are taken to address identified internal audit issues.
• Assisting management with ad-hoc projects (including field work and data analysis when necessary) that does not impede the independence of the internal audit function.
• Manage the whistle blowing process as the Whistle blower Investigation Officer which includes the investigation process and reporting.

II) Job specifications / minimum qualifications

• A good Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance.
• Professional certifications (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CIA) is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in internal, external audit and/or business process reviews.
• Strong command of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) is essential.
• Independent, resourceful, good inter-personal skill and a team player.
• Proficient in oral and written English and Chinese is a must in a view of the need to liaise with the Group’s business entities in China and other countries.
• Travelling required for this role (40% - 50%).

• Follow-up with process owners to ensure recommendation put forth by Internal Auditors are duly implemented.

• Perform internal control reviews on ad-hoc projects assigned.

• Ensure Group policies and procedure manuals are updated before dissemination to staff. • Ensure compliance with local rules and regulations (e.g. set by URA, SGX, etc.)

• In-charge of business continuity management (BCM) project.

• Manage/ review risk framework, maintain risk register, prepare annual risk report and writeup on risk management sec on of the Sustainability Report.

• Ensure Internal Control Self-Assessment Checklist is completed by the various Business Units on an annual basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in special review, data analytics and system implementation review etc.

Requirements:

• A good Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance.
• Professional certifications (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CIA) is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in internal, external audit and/or business process reviews.
• Strong command of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) is essential.
• Strong foundation in internal control concepts and familiar with emerging risks and technology.
• Independent, resourceful, good inter-personal skill and a team player.
• Demonstrating working to a high level with minimal supervision.
• Strong English and Chinese proficiency (written and oral), is a must to communicate with English and Chinese speaking stakeholders in regards with the business inefficiencies, internal control weaknesses or operational issues observed during audits and recommend appropriate solutions.

You will be part of the Internal Audit Office responsible for the provision of independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve operations of the University. You will plan and perform IT and/or Integrated audits, supporting the University in ensuring internal controls surrounding the various IT systems, applications, platforms and related processes are in place and effective and also provide recommendations to management to improve IT and related processes and manage risks.

Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation and update of the audit universe, audit work plan and risk assessment, focusing on information technology, operation technology, data security and cybersecurity areas.
• Plan and perform risk-based audits and / or advisory functions to ascertain compliance with the University’s rules, policies and procedures, and report on discrepancies noted and improvements required in IT and related processes and internal control mechanisms.
• Prepare clear and concise written reports to communicate audit results to management and make appropriate recommendations.
• Manage and deliver multiple audit projects on committed timelines while maintaining audit quality.
• Interact with confidence and develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
• Lead or support initiatives and assist in administrative work required for the running of the Internal Audit Office.
• Undertake any ad-hoc projects or special reviews, which may include investigation, due diligence and advisory; and any non-audit projects to support the University as a whole.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/Accounting/Finance or relevant qualifications.
• Possess at least 5 to 8 years of relevant IT audit working experience with exposure in the private and public sector.
• Having relevant certifications such as CISA and CIA and experience using data analytics tools (such as SQL, R/Python, IDEA. ACL, Power BI) and audit management applications would be preferably considered.
• Essential for candidates to possess strong technical, analytical, verbal communication, report writing and project management skills.
• Good understanding of internal controls, corporate governance, regulatory compliance and knowledge of internal auditing techniques and standards, business sense and acumen.
• High emotional quotient, meticulous, analytical process-driven, self-starter and good collaboration and teamwork.
