Job Description

• Provide basic IT support for internal users
• Responsible for maintenance on all devices
• Provide documentation to ensure all equipment, technical records are updated to reflect the latest changes, proper and correct procedures are followed, configuration and software changes to devices are documented, archived, and backed up for recovery.

Requirements:

• NITEC in Engineering or IT related discipline
• Flexible with roaming to multiple sites
• Candidates with both Engineering & IT experience preferred (Technical Interview) required

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform physical and technical tasks of low complexity on Data Center Infrastructure equipment (servers infrastructure, network infrastructure, or equipment DC floor)
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain servers, networking equipment, and cabling
• Fix broken servers (replace hard drives, replace bad sticks of RAM, etc.)
• Learn and apply diagnostic methods to troubleshoot data center equipment
• Use hardware/software tools and workflows (automation) in support of these tasks
• Strictly follow policies, processes, and procedures related to data center environment
• Perform maintenance on a timely basis with adequate recordkeeping
• Maintain supply of spare parts inventory
• Ensure equipment is started up properly and maintain equipment with minimal downtime
• Locate sources of problems by observing and listening to mechanical devices in operation.
• Maintain documentation of performance of preventive maintenance, equipment repair, part usages and other documentation
• Ensure a safe working environment and perform maintenance in a safe manner

Requirements:

• Min intermediate Vocational Education in maintenance, hardware repair or equivalent
• Minimum 1 years of experience
• Experience in Lean Principles warehousing.
• Basic knowledge of Linux OS a plus
• Able to identify basic network components and perform fiber and cabling handling
• Ability to rapidly learn Standard Work Instructions (training and job shadowing to be provided)
• Physically fit to carry heavy goods
• Willing to work shift hours when required
