JOB OBJECTIVE

To assist in providing a learning environment that supports the developmental and educational needs of all the children, under the overall direction of the class teacher and Deputy Head.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To work with an individual or small groups of children as directed by the class teacher, Deputy Head or Head Master
• To actively promote the learning of Mandarin language within the Pre-Prep dual language environment
• To follow the agreed programmes of work with individuals and groups of children working towards set targets
• To contribute to the well-being of the children in terms of physical, emotional and social needs.
• To support staff with minor admin tasks when not directly working with pupils, For example in non-contact time E.g. photocopy, file or complete records
• To make notes in Individual Education Plan (IEP) books for children as required
• Contribute to the CCA programme within the school
• Assisting with the children’s safe use of school transport arrangements
• To provide any other reasonable duties delegated by the School Management

• This is a relief role to cover teachers who are unable to turn up for class and/or short-term fulltime cover needed from January - July 2024.

Job Responsibilities:

• Stand in for the teaching of all subjects except those taught by specialist teachers according to school policies and schemes of work.

Requirements:

• Minimal 3 years of experience in cover/relief teaching in independent school environment for children age 18 months to 13 years old.
• Possesses relevant Teaching Certification recognised in International Teaching Climate (i.e. QTS, PGCE / i-PGCE)
• Highly adept and adaptable individual with pro-active attitude and a passion for teaching children across a wide age range.
