Overview

Specific Responsibility:

• Performing lab-scale and pilot-level compounding of new polymer / filler systems.
• Performing injection molding to prepare the test specimen for plastic testing.
• Ensures that lab machinery is operated following established processing, quality, safety, and housekeeping procedures.
• Cleans and prepares machinery for efficient changeovers and subsequent compounding & injection molding process.
• Trouble-shoots processing problems to ensure production of quality products.
• Keep complete and accurate records of process records.
• Assists routine maintenance of machinery & auxiliary equipment.
• Maintains surrounding work area according to established housekeeping standards.
• Complies with established safety policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

· Support, assist other aspects of Engineering Centre operation as and when necessary.

· Diploma in Science or Engineering, preferably in material science, polymer technology or chemical engineering.

· Fresh graduate or 2 years working experience with polymer processing.

Experience in polymer compounding & injection moding will be an added advantage.
