• Assist the Project Manager to oversee project site supervision, managing the daily operation of the project execution, and ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the construction master schedules
• Responsible for planning, scheduling, controlling the cost of materials, shop drawings submission, coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects
• Work closely with the project team, planning and deploying resources such as manpower, machinery, equipment, and material
• Liaising and coordinating with all parties involved in the projects, i.e clients, consultants, relevant authorities and sub-contractors
• Incharge of project implementation, attending site meetings, inspection, and monitoring of project progress
• Prepare for monthly work progress reports and other project-related reports
• Responsible to ensure safe work procedures are implemented to control risk and maintain cleanliness of the work sites at all times
• Other related duties as and when assigned by the Project Manager

The intern will work in the Production department of Keystone Cable factory. He will report to the Plant Manager (mentor) and work alongside engineers / technicians to identify opportunities for factory operations efficiency and productivity improvement.

Expected tasks / responsibilities

1. Job shadow / On-job training, OJT of Production Engineer to understand cable manufacturing process.
2. Problem understanding of current methods of manual production data collection with the intent of improving the process flow and to digitize where possible.
3. Data acquisition of shop floor data to set baseline targets for production improvement
4. Research and testing of hypothesis on production parameters we want to improve
5. Project management of one or two projects to improve factory productivity / efficiency using existing or acquired skillsets.

Learning outcomes and objectives

1. To allow intern to gain a good understanding of the work and responsibilities of a production engineer in a factory.
2. To project manage one or two projects that tackle factory productivity and efficiency problem statements.
3. To apply and extend intern’s skillsets on shop floor data collection and analysis with the objective of improving existing factory systems.
4. To allow company and intern to assess compatibility for potential collaboration opportunities in the future.

You'll be expected to optimize the management of on-site mechanical, electrical, plumbing installations, and civil maintenance. Mastery in the field

You should have earned a degree in engineering, preferably in electrical or mechanical engineering, with a master's degree being highly advantageous. A minimum of ten years of experience in facilities management, with at least five years in a senior role, is essential. Proficiency in advanced IBMS/BMS systems, including predictive maintenance modules and energy optimization features, is required.
