Responsibilities

• Supervise/manage Mechanical and Electrical services with consultant and sub-contractors on site;
• Oversee all related M&E issues on site;
• Assists Manager in the co-ordination of project management activities
• Attends external project meetings, meetings with consultants as well as technical and co-ordination meetings, daily project meetings and internal project closure meeting;
• Assists Manager in carrying out all shop drawings and submission with Drafting Department;
• Ensures works of System Wide Contractors (SWC) and civil/architectural works are proceeded as planned;
• Ensures the adherence to the safe work procedure (SWP);
• Ensures the timely preparation of project progress and other reports;
• Follows up on all aspects of QA/QC matters; records all defects works and ensure proper documentation;
• Orders materials required for projects

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant field in the construction supervision of M&E building services work (MRT Project, A&A Works, etc)
• Familiar with construction site activities

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed designs and documentation for the implementation of building projects, lead and delegate tasks within a workgroup.
• Preparation of calculations required for the design of engineering projects.
• Preparation of specifications, proposals, and other tender documentation.
• Use initiative to resolve tasks or problems that arise at a competent level.
• Act as a technical expert to mentor and develop other structural engineers within the team, and provide structural design expertise in overseeing all technical aspects of projects.
• Liaison with clients, sub-consultants, contractors, and communicate clearly with colleagues and managers.

• Recognised Civil & Structural Engineering qualification (Bachelor / Master’s degree).

• Solid experience in reinforced concrete, post tension concrete and structural steelwork design. Seismic design experience is advantageous.
